Now that our brackets are busted, who are you cheering for to win the 2006 NCAA Tournament?
What Final Four team are you cheering for?
UCLA Bruins. Bringing the prestige back to Westwood.
LSU Tigers. A bright spot for the battered Louisiana area.
Florida Gators. Young and tough team playing with emotion.
George Mason Patriots. This [...]
Instead of selling your kicks on eBay, “help kids get active” by recycling your old athletic kicks and you could even save on a new pair of shoes at Niketown. Details from Thursday’s Honolulu Star-Bulletin are in the pic. Just a note that there wasn’t anything regarding this campaign on the site that [...]
Administrative Professionals Day is coming up on April 26. Do you know what you’re getting your hardworking, under-appreciated admin staff? How about some pampering at Elements Hawaii Spa and Salon?
Elements Hawaii is offering special Administrative Professional packages along with their usual menu of relaxing facial massages, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and gift baskets. [...]
With LSU making the NCAA Final Four, I got to remembering how a young Shaquille O’Neal and Stanley Roberts ruled the post for LSU some years back. Then I was thinking, did Shaq graduate from college? How about Kobe? I know Kobe went to the NBA right out of high school, but [...]
In a world where there are many of fools who don’t know how to turn the volume down if it’s too loud, Apple has created new volume controls and issued a software update for its recent iPod models which allows users to set how loud their digital music players can go.
Parents also can use [...]
Wired has collected the best quotes from Steve Jobs over the years and here are some interesting ones:
I’m the only person I know that’s lost a quarter of a billion dollars in one year…. It’s very character-building.
It is hard to think that a $2 billion company with 4,300-plus people couldn’t compete with six people in [...]
Although I’m not a big fan of Starbucks Frappuccinos (too sweet, not enough coffee flavor), I’ll still drink this expensive concoction once in awhile. Now, this couple figured out how to make their own Frap-like drink at a fraction of the cost of bottled Frappuccinos.
So after your meal of Fix-It and Forget-It Lightly “Baked” [...]
A little while ago, I learned about another news aggregator, Endo. As a NetNewsWire Lite user, I gave it a shot to see how it compared. Unfortunately, I could never get used to Endo and kept falling back to using NetNewsWire.
Something about Endo’s interface I just couldn’t overcome. With the two-pane layout [...]

Once a month, Club 939 changes gears from “Hawaii’s Hottest Strip Club” to “Hawaii’s Hottest Night Club.” The only dancing done is by the patrons, bumpin’ to hits like I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper).
The next transformation is Sunday, March 26. I assume 21 and over only. If you never been, [...]
A friend found this and I thought it was hilarious!
Was shopping at our local Safeway and saw a very weird placement of products. The magazine aisle is next to the bakery section (which isn’t so weird), and I went to check out the latest issue of Slam magazine and also to see if they had Chocodiles in stock (don’t ask, too much Food [...]
The March Madness Elite 8 teams are set and ready to go one more round this weekend. As divined by the shoes, teams wearing Nike are beginning to dominate the playing field. Reebok-wearing Boston College was eliminated, leaving only Nike and Adidas representation. The two Adidas squads, UCLA and Memphis, are going [...]
Drew Lachey of the Drew Crew will now be dancing with a baby girl. His wife, Lea, gave birth yesterday in Los Angeles. Other than tending to dirty diapers, feedings, etc., Drew will be co-hosting the 2006 Miss USA Pageant in Baltimore on April 21.
Hard to believe, but Mac OS X is now 5 years old. Version 10.0 was released on March 24, 2001, and four major revisions later, Mac OS X is at 10.4.
Next up is Apple’s 30th birthday on April 1. Surprise announcements??
