A Second Apple Store at Kahala Mall?

The Honolulu Advertiser is reporting that Apple is in negotiations to obtain space in Kahala Mall for a second Apple Store in Hawaii. No agreements have been met.

Wonder where there’s empty space? I haven’t been to Kahala Mall since the flooding. It’s got to be in the main area of the mall and not upstairs. Is Baby Gap still there? Or Waldenbooks/Borders Express? These would be good spots.

When the Apple Store first came to Hawaii, I thought it’d be in Kahala Mall and not Ala Moana. Didn’t think Ala Moana shoppers would support a computer/tech store, but I was wrong.

Well, Kahala Mall would fit the image of where Apple Stores go. But I guess they based it on foot traffic. Lotta that traffic is tourists. Lotta it is from Asia, and Macs are a lot cheaper here than there.

I wonder how successful a store in Kahala will be. Me, I never go there. Wife, she prefers it. Mebbe she’ll bring home a sweet new G5??

Maybe the Kahala store will have a higher purchase-to-buyer ratio where the rich’ens in Waialae Iki buy more therefore less foot traffic is needed?

G5? I wanna try out an Intel-based Mac to see if it’s actually faster
