Caffeine Content of Popular Drinks

In the June 2006 issue of Men’s Health, there’s a small blurb about the caffeine content of popular drinks. Here are the most caffeinated products in the five categories of energy drink, tea, coffee, diet soda, and regular soda.

  • SoBe Adrenaline Rush, 9.2 mg per oz
  • Nestea Cool Lemon Iced Tea, 0.96 mg per oz
  • Starbucks Doubleshot, 16.3 mg per oz
  • Diet Coke with Lime, 3.3 mg per oz
  • Mountain Dew, 3.8 mg per oz

For comparison, a regular coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts contains 8.9 mg of caffeine per ounce.

Hmmm, any coincidence that I drink Doubleshots, Diet Coke with Lime, and Mountain Dew the most? Really. I guess my body can tell which drink gives me the most nitrous for the brain.
