Pepsi Got Smart

With my hard earned cash from Google AdSense, I got myself a 20-oz Pepsi featuring a new under-the-cap game. Instead of giving away iTunes singles, this new contest is for ringtones for your cell phone. 1 in 3 is a winner, but there’s a twist to the contest. Pepsi got smart and instead of placing winning codes under the caps, every cap now has a code that you need to check on the Internet at Pepsismash.com. In previous contests, you’d either get a winning code or something like “Please try again.”

So what’s the big deal? This new system stops folks from looking under the caps to see if they’re an instant winner.

Bummer!
