Flying Must Suck Now

by Gee Why on August 11, 2006

Not trying to make light of the airlines terrorist plot in London, but the aftermath must make flying a terrible experience. No liquids allowed as carry on items, and no electronic devices like laptops, cell phones, and Zunes iPods either. Now I hear no books or magazines are allowed.
I can’t imagine a trans-Atlantic [...]

Seems like Robin Williams is getting help treating his second bout of alcoholism. I’m glad he’s proactively seeking treatment.

WWDC Results

by Gee Why on August 7, 2006

I was stuck in a conference during the WWDC so I didn’t have time to really take a look at the announcements. The biggest move was Apple completing its transition to the Intel platform. The last two PowerPC-based Macs, the PowerMac and the Xserve, were replaced with the Mac Pro and the Intel [...]

Is Apple making some bold statements with a banner at WWDC that says something to the effect that Mac OS X “Leopard” is the coming of (Microsoft) Vista 2.0? Not 1.0, but 2.0, the next version of Vista.

WWDC 2006 begins at 10am Pacific (that’s 7am for us in Hawaii). Just think, while you’re driving to work, cool Apple products could be changing the game.

I wish I could make a great living off of paid clicks on Google ads. Some folks have been able to do it according to this article.
For me, Pulpconnection brought in $0.39 from Google AdSense for the month of July. But if I stopped working a traditional job and lived off of ads, [...]

Wow, just noticed that Cingular is going to start charging its customers who use old school analog/TDMA cell phones. Cingular wants to drive their customers to their digital GSM network so they can phase out their analog network. So this $5 monthly fee is an “incentive” for customers to upgrade to a digital [...]

Okay, my bad. After taking a better look, I realized that the new Honolulu Advertiser blogs do in fact have RSS feeds. Now, the next problem is that each blog has four(!) different variations of RSS feeds to choose from. There are feeds for RSS 0.92, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, and Atom.
Although [...]
