Interesting Starbucks Factoids

Also in this week’s Midweek is a story about the success of Starbucks in Hawaii. You can read the entire article, but here are some interesting tidbits:

“We’ve been told that Starbucks is the second best place – after a grocery store – to meet a date, and it’s the third best place to break up with someone…”

Starbucks employees are called partners and “get a pound of coffee a week.”

“The average customer visits Starbucks 18 times a month, and 10 percent come twice a day.”

Just doing some rough estimates, but at a conservative $2 for coffee per visit, that’s $36 a month for your caffeine fix. $432 for the whole year, but more if you go for the more expensive latte-based drinks. I am not an average Starbucks customer.
