The End of DRM Music?

Is this an April Fool’s Joke or is there truth to this rumor? EMI with Apple as a guest has a special announcement scheduled for tomorrow morning. The subject of the announcement is rumored to be the removal of digital rights management (DRM) on music.

So this means that the iTunes Store (and other vendors) can sell EMI music that can be played on any music player or software and traded without technical restrictions (legal restrictions still apply).

Interesting change of events…
