Hawaii Beauty Pageant Winners in the News
Little did I know that Olena Rubin’s hiring at KHON would bring to light some interesting discussion about the local business success of beauty pageant winners. We’re talking winners of the Miss Hawaii and Miss Hawaii USA pageants. Here is a list of winners going back to 1993 as provided by Wikipedia. Recognize any names?
I highlighted the winners that have had time on local broadcast television news.

First of all Kuu was a Miss Hawaii USA, NOT a Miss Hawaii. You have to be specific, the Miss Hawaii has-beens get a little testy about that.
Secondly, if we want to be technical, Tiffani Hercules made appearances on ALL the network stations…when she was busted for ice.

Anonymous beauty pageant poster, you have a lot of insight and interesting things to say about the Miss Hawaii and Miss Hawaii USA pageants and the contestants! Would you be interested in doing some guest blogging posts about this topic?
I think the readership here would be interested in your stories of the competition(s), what’s involved, what’s the difference between the two, how you prepare, what are the benefits, and some up-to-date info about past and previous contestants. I’m sure there’s a lot more to tell!
