Whoa, I was just scanning through Pulpconnection and realized I had a lot of visual bling bling going on. I know my sidebar is loaded with all kinds of stuff, but all the posts with (big) images and embedded widgets and movies was a little overwhelming.
Need to step back from the bling and give those gold chains back to Mr. T. I’m a pitiful fool!
Maybe not a movie, but I don’t know what a “live-action adaptation” is. I find it hard to believe that the anime series Dragonball Z will have real life actors portraying Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and the other DBZ characters. James Marsters aka Spike on Buffy and Angel will be Piccolo?!?

Google’s review of the top searches for 2007 is now available at their Zeitgeist 2007 site. What can you say but the iPhone rocked the Net. And with all her troubles, momma Britney Spears search popularity did not suffer. As I’ve seen here on Pulpconnection, Dancing with the Stars was a hot topic.
The Nintendo Wii is picking up search steam. HD-DVD is beating out Blu-ray along with LCD TVs over plasmas. Music from iTunes has more searches than Bittorrent and Limewire.
And who knew the people ask Google how to kiss?

How can you forget Poison, Do Me!,and When Will I See You Smile Again? I was talking with Coco Bean about music from the 90’s after she attended a forgettable concert featuring Sweet Sensation, Cover Girls, Freedom Williams of C+C Music Factory, and others then I thought of BBD, Bell Biv DeVoe.
I also remembered meeting the trio (actually mainly Michael Bivins) at a celebrity basketball game back in the day on the campus of the caffeinated Anteaters. Got Biv’s autograph on their WBBD – BOOTCITY! remix CD.
Last year, you cared with the aikea shirts. This year, you got an excuse with the ainevano tee shirts.
Designed and produced by the Moanalua High School Graphics Department, they got a variety of colors and other designs, all for $10 a shirt.

All I can say is w00t! Pulpconnection passed 50,000 visits yesterday thanks to readers addicted to passions and pulp (and Julianne Hough farting on Dancing with the Stars).

What was the hot content during this time? Dancing with the Stars, UH WAC championship shirts, and kicks dominated.
But by far, Julianne Hough’s fart brought in the most views. Referenced by truemors.com, this post accounted for 33% of the visits.
At 40,000 visits, Club 939 fell off of the list of top keywords. Did it make it back?
Yup, 939 eeked back in at #9.

Merriam-Webster polled for their #1 Word of the Year for 2007, and the winner is w00t! Here’s the definition:
w00t (interjection) – expressing joy (it could be after a triumph, or for no reason at all); similar in use to the word “yay”
Supposedly w00t! is derived from the saying “we owned the other team” in online gaming circles and the double o’s got replaced by double zeroes.

I’m sorry but with all the comedic genius that is Gregg Hammer, listening to I-94’s Wake-Up Crew is tough without Rory Wild leading the pack. Rory’s timing, coordination, wit, and perspectives drives the Wake-Up Crew with great interplay with Gregg, Natasha, and Krey-Z. When Rory’s gone, Hammer running the show just ain’t the same.
This is when I turn to other stations like 102.7 Da Bomb with Sam Da Man. Sam is pretty funny but as the lead DJ, he can’t compete with Rory, but sorry to say, he is better than Hammer.
There is one exception though. Gregg likes to play some old school R&B and rap music instead of the current same old so he gets props for that. You can never go wrong with Tupac’s California Love.
