March Madness Kicks Analysis #0a: UCLA Vulnerable

Yes, it’s still early and March Madness hasn’t begun, but it’s time to start taking notes.

First note. UCLA is vulnerable. Even though they’ve been beating up on opponents, the Adidas-clad Bruins continue to have a weakness against teams wearing Nikes. Of their current 21-3 record, all three losses are to Nike teams (Texas, USC, and now Washington).

So to beat UCLA during the dance, outfit your team in old school Barkley’s and play ball-in-your-face dirty. Still a legal play. ;)

UCLA played terribly, especially Collison (3pts and 8 turnovers). They were so flat and dead.

That shot Aboya took was pretty cheap. I pity UW when they meet again.

Yeah, but UW showed the way of toppling the Bruins. I doubt UW will make any noise in the Dance (if they make it) so this contribution will be important to other teams.
