Morning Brew Renovated

by Gee Why on August 30, 2008

in Addiction,Life

One of the few locally owned coffee shops, Morning Brew, in Hawaii got a recent facelift. Much improved from before! Now this coffee house looks more inviting and welcoming. Before the redo, it did look old and unfriendly. A few pictures of the “new” Morning Brew. Technorati Tags: coffee, Hawaii, Kailua

Comfy Brown Shirt Day

by Gee Why on August 29, 2008

in Life

A Friday before a long weekend calls for the comfy brown shirt at work. I’ve had this Hilfiger collared shirt for some time now, and it’s like my comfort wardrobe for work. No one’s around anyways…

Rousing the Rabble

by Gee Why on August 28, 2008

in Life

Har, doing some rabble-rousing at work with our internal blog! Talking about salaries and ceilings is sure to incite people. It ain’t me. I gotta straighten that out. Blog comments are directed at me, the messenger of the information. I don’t create the guidance, I just pass along the info.

The vampire lust of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga continues to grow. The series has inspired its own WordPress theme based on the artwork of the book covers. Technorati Tags: WordPress

Season Seven of Dancing with the Stars is debuting on September 22, and the star lineup has been announced today. Hmmm, looks a little gimmicky if you ask me. After seven years on the air, this popular series may be having problems outdoing itself. In order to hold the interest of its fans and keep [...]

At lunch today, my brother-in-law comes hurrying up and tells me to grab my (ever present) camera. “That guy from LOST is here. The one who’s a bad mother…” “Shut your mouth,” I say. “Sayid’s here?” So off I go, looking for Naveen Andrews. Sure enough, there he was walking around, doing some shopping. A [...]

I’m still getting my head around the Twilight universe created by Stephenie Meyer (did you know a movie is coming out?), and Borders is really pushing Meyer’s work. Witness these Borders displays. As a juxtaposition, look what Barnes and Noble is featuring at one of their locations. It’s Lottery by local Hawaii author, Patricia Wood. [...]

Nuc Med Relief Via iPhone

by Gee Why on August 21, 2008

in Life,Passion

How do you make an infant lie still for 90 minutes while a GI test is being done using a radioactive isotope? You better have an iPhone 3G handy, that’s how. To see how things were working on the inside, this GI test was done but badly described to us. Instead of lying down, taking [...]
