Taking a look back at the year that was 2008…

The year started off with serious family medical problems that got better later. I started my begging campaign for an iPhone and by the good graces of Bytemarks (and Hawaiian Telcom), I got a free Vudu evaluation unit. The Pulpconnection Pour Some Sugar on Me giveaway also wrapped up taking a look at the naughty side of sugar.

With the possibly last release of the iconic Air Jordan, I had to get me a pair! How else can you properly pay homage to his Airness?  Other than getting some heat from an Abercrombie & Fitch ruckus, not much else happened.  Luckily, March is supposedly my bloggiest time.

To take care of the medical issues, we traveled to California for Hope by Way of FAT.  Everything went very well.  March wasn’t my bloggiest month after all, but March Madness and my annual kicks analysis filled the month.

April showers brought a lot of Starbucks and Dancing with the Stars flowers. This month Pulpconnection bloomed on Alltop.com, listed under the Hawaii section.

May was a mellow month with a lot of Top Chef and Dancing with the Stars coverage.

June 2008

In June, Club 939 turned three years old. The pulpy pushing of Hawaii’s hottest gentlemen’s club helped me roll in the dough. Just don’t call me a numnah.

The Alien Ninja landed in July and brought with him an iPhone 3G!

August 2008

Following the Alien Ninja in July, I became immersed with the supernatural in August. From the mystery-laden LOST, the family came across Naveen Andrews (Sayid).  I started reading about vampires in the Twilight series and offered Hawaiian travel packages a President Elect would love.

The fanaticism over Twilight and Brian Austin Green grows.  Chill out and have a spam hot dog.

October 2008

There was a medical setback this month.  Not related to the original medical issues earlier in the year, but still a cause of great concern.  After things settled down, I finished reading the Twilight series and started my digital transition.

November 2008

The month started with a lesson of what a moose knuckle is.  Then November got passionate, sensual, and a little erotic as Brooke Burke became a Dancing with the Stars Champion.  Finally, young love between a vampire and a human in Twilight the movie ended the month.

Freshest in my mind is migrating Pulpconnection from Blogger to WordPress. This was a move that took years and hopefully pays off in 2009. Right now, it’s sucking with stats way, way down. It’s like a power outage happened or something. No worries though as Roderick Flemings’ dazzling kicks hopefully lead me out of this blackout.

What a great way to review your year! I started to do something like this over at the ‘Post, but I became overwhelmed. I think you had a much better idea.
