Since Starbucks is making way for Seattle’s Best Coffee in the Borders location at Windward Mall, I figured I better give them a chance. While picking up some Pinoy power at the Ward Borders, I juiced up at Seattle’s Best.
The coffee was good, but the service was great! Very friendly staff who was willing to [...]
If there’s ever a doubt if the weather is right for iced coffee, you can find your answer at isiticedcoffeeweather.com.
Thanks! How have I been getting by without this great resource all this time?! I wonder if there’s a mobile iPhone version?

While at a Starbucks the other day, I noticed they were selling their Doubleshot Energy+Coffee drinks in a can. This “premium energy coffee drink” comes in vanilla or mocha and is around $3 for 15 oz (200 Calories per can).
So after a long, long week shackled to PowerPoint and tied up in practice sessions, [...]
I went a little coffee cream crazy a while back, buying the new Coffee-mate flavors, Hazelnut Biscotti, Tiramisu, Italian Sweet Creme, and Black Cherry Streusel. I just tried the Black Cherry Streusel, and this flavor just doesn’t do it for me.
First off, this cream looks watery, pouring a little too freely from [...]
Before a meeting with Coco Bean, I headed out to Starbucks to check out their new summer drinks for 2008.
I went with a Doubleshot on Ice + Energy which contains vitamin B, ginseng, and guarana for some extra mental sharpness. At first, I thought this drink was a cop out using the canned Starbucks [...]
Coffee-mate is at it again, introducing new flavors. This time, they went international and are featuring flavors from old Italia. Along with the recent additions of Black Cherry Streusel and Cinnamon Bun, Coffee-mates’s World Cafe Collection includes Hazelnut Biscotti, Tiramisu, and Italian Sweet Creme.
Strangely though, Coffee-mate’s web site makes no mention [...]
Last summer, Starbucks went fruity with their drink lineup. There was orange in June, raspberry in July, and blueberry in August.
According to Starbucks Gossip, the summer of ‘08 will feature a zingier array of drinks:
Mint Chip Frappuccino with Chocolate Whipped Cream
Blended Lemonade or Blended Green Tea Lemonade with Fresh Lemon Zest
Double Shot + Energy
I’m [...]
To appease the greenness that is the motherly (again?) Coco Bean, I found a way to reuse my Starbucks Splash Stick. Give them to your kids and let them have fun with it.
You see, a sippy cup of water isn’t complete without its own Splash Stick.

Part of the appeal of Starbucks’ new Pikes Place roast is its freshness. The coffee is made and served fresh, not sitting more than 30 minutes. The coffee beans for the Pikes are also freshly roasted, but I guess “roasted fresh” means something else in Starbucks parlance.
What do you think “roasted fresh” means? [...]
I’m no Coffee Master and know nothing of coffee smell, slurping, or geography of my palate, but I do know Starbucks new Pikes Place Roast is easy to drink. This freshly roasted and brewed coffee is not bitter or overwhelming, but it also ain’t Heaven in a cup you know? It’s simply a [...]
Hmmm, Starbucks has a big secret and they’re not willing to tell until next week. Wonder what’s up?
Looks like the coffee giant is taking a page out of Apple’s playbook with hints and innuendos but not much details with upcoming announcements. And the news will be announced on a Tuesday (4/8/08) no less! [...]
Need help with all them fancy schmancy coffee drink names? Don’t know an Americano from a flat white from a macchiato? Then keep this illustrated guide of coffee drinks handy.
But just don’t go up to a Starbucks counter and clumsily say you’d like a mock-e-ah-toe. Say macchiato like you mean it!

Can it be? Has Windward Mall risen from its deathtrap status, gotten a pulse, and now renovated with the addition of Borders and finally, a Starbucks? How things have changed!
The Borders is kinda small, maybe smaller than the Pearlridge one. And like the Pearlridge Borders and the renovated Waikele Borders, the Starbucks [...]
That’s the motto for Tassimo.
TASSIMO is not just another coffee maker. It’s a whole new way to prepare a variety of delicious hot drinks perfectly, in the comfort of your own home. And it’s so simple.
With the TASSIMO machine and the TASSIMO Discs (T DISCs) you can make the hot drink you want, [...]
Slate has an article about Starbucks and its relationship with the Internet. I had read some of the included references before but never heard of a “ghetto latte.”
I might have to try this since the Starbucks Oracle rates me and my drinks as “clueless.” Who else asks for a blueberry mocha?

Addictions are powerful so why should you have to change your addictions based on geography? Of course you shouldn’t, and that’s what Starbucks and McDonald’s understands.
These giants are global and peddle their addictive wares to you anywhere. Need a caramel macchiato while in Hong Kong? Don’t worry, Starbucks got your [...]

Starbucks started the summer with orange then went raspberry. Finishing up the summer flavors is now blueberries. Their newest machinations are a Blueberries and Creme Frappuccino and a Shaken Blueberry White Iced Tea.
Missing from the lineup is a latte-based blueberry drink. I asked if they could make a blueberry mocha upon [...]
So my addiction to coffee isn’t as extreme as I thought. According to this coffee addiction quiz, I scored 83% which I think doesn’t qualify as an addiction.

The other day I get an email from Starbucks announcing their new summer drink, a raspberry mocha. Hey, a good combination – raspberry and chocolate! Just like the chocolatey, fruity goodness.
So I finally made it to a Starbucks to try out this new drink with high expectations. At first sip, my impression [...]
