by Gee Why on April 20, 2008

This is a stereotype purely based on circumstantial evidence, but wouldn’t you agree that Pearl City Girls are saucy?
The April 18, 2008 Weekend Edition of MidWeek featured model-turned-drift-racer Verena Mei. The 26-year old Pearl City grad is a top-ranked drifter in the US and is a model. Saucy!

I like the new Club 939 ads in the local Honolulu Advertiser and think they’re amusing. A series of ads is forthcoming, all patterned after personals describing likes and dislikes.
Here’s the first ad featuring Crystall who is a Libra and loves to laugh.
She also likes white iced mochas with whip cream. So of [...]

So how does video look on the third generation iPod Nano’s little screen? Pretty darn good! I was pretty skeptical about watching videos on this thing and wanted the Nano more for its compatibility with the Nike+ Sports Kit, but the screen is definitely watchable.
Here’s a sample of the Club 939 episode of [...]

How would that be for a collaboration, kicks and clubbing at Hawaii’s adult hotspot? Hot kicks surrounded by hot dancers, hot music, and hot VIPs.
Would it be farfetched to have a kicks themed night at Club 939? I’m sure Kicks Hawaii can provide the goods to display and even outfit the 939 [...]

by Gee Why on August 12, 2007

in Passion

Club 939, Hawaii’s adult hotspot, is turning two years old this month. What makes Club 939 so special?
Could it be its sizzling themed events? Is it the bumping music they play? Is it the food? How about their tee shirts? Maybe their decor is simply mesmerizing? Is it [...]

May have to give this some thought since I do this to some degree already, but Google will pay you to visit local stores, get vital info and pics, and submit them to Google for inclusion in Google Maps.
There’s more to it than that and you have to sign up and be approved to participate [...]

Doing a periodic look at Pulpconnection stats via Google Analytics brings to light some interesting facts. According to top keywords, I have learned that this site amounts to:
So Pulpconnection is all about Hawaii female news reporters, a naked Harry Potter, and Club 939. Wonder what that says about me?

Late last night, I noticed that Pulpconnection hit 20,000 visits according to SiteMeter. Yay!
In November 2006, Pulpconnection reached 10,000 hits, and Mr. 939/-s won the Pulpconnection Prize Pack. I completely missed the 20,000 visit milestone so I don’t have a prize pack prepared.
Using Google’s fantastically redone Analytics, here are some [...]

by Gee Why on May 2, 2007

in Pulp

I’m gonna take the next question off the path a bit…
We know you’re friends with the now famous Cat of kittycaht.com and brought her to our Holiday Dinner.
Can it be that she’s more of a genius than you and makes more money? How can that be?
Hypothetically, if she were in a class body of say, [...]

The Inside 939 feature is still on even while Mr. 939 is out scouring the globe for talent.
So on the radio, I heard Da Bomb featuring a special guest appearance by Nautica Thorn at 939.
What kind of negotiations did it take to get her at the club?
The response:

I got some feedback about the Lost viewing party at Club 939, and it goes something like this…
The music was bangin’ with Deejay Betty mixing it up, and the club was buzzing as usual. Cream danced for our reporting crew at the table of the Greatest Legal Mind Ever. As she performed, our [...]
