Since Starbucks is making way for Seattle’s Best Coffee in the Borders location at Windward Mall, I figured I better give them a chance. While picking up some Pinoy power at the Ward Borders, I juiced up at Seattle’s Best.
The coffee was good, but the service was great! Very friendly staff who was willing to [...]
Today, Starbucks announced its latest innovation from MyStarbucksIdea.com – the mini version of a Starbucks card.
Clip this little card to your keychain and carry around some Starbucks credit where ever you go (well, except for Windward Mall).
My assessment of this innovation. Meh, but at least MyStarbucksIdea.com has some fun contests to promote their new ideas.

Some things just never change. There was hope, but I wondered if Windward Mall really had it together. The unfortunate answer is clearly evident after I saw this.
Yes, the Starbucks inside Borders Books at Windward Mall is closing. Can you name another location where both a McDonalds and Starbucks closed its businesses? Signs of a [...]
Starbucks’ canned Doubleshot drinks have a new design.
The original.
The redone.
Same potent flavor and caffeinated effects.

The Anteaters of UC Irvine, the Home of Eater Nation, like their coffee. A full fledged Starbucks store has infiltrated the campus taking the spot of the school’s outside cafe.
The school itself has gotten a facelift with major renovations of the exterior of the Student Center.
The inside of the Bookstore looks about the same though [...]
My free sample of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew instant coffee arrived, and here’s its unveiling.
It looks like I’m missing the center packet, but it comes with only two packets of VIA Columbia.

Wow, I need me one of these new fandagled Starbucks Plug and Pour USB sticks.
Wonder if it works with an iMac or MacBook Pro? April Fools!

The breakfast “perfect pairing” of coffee and oatmeal at Starbucks is pretty good. I got the brown sugar and fruit medley.
Bummer this location didn’t accept the Starbuck’s Gold Card.

Sadly, this is not a Pulpconnection promotion, but no matter! Bevreview.com is giving away canned Starbucks Doubleshot drinks (including the new Cinnamon Dulce) and a USB-powered beverage chiller. No lie! Head on over to Bevreview.com to enter. One catch though, you have to be on Twitter and follow @bevreview in order to win.
As a referral [...]
Since Starbucks’ new instant coffee, the Via Ready Brew, won’t be available around these parts for some time, you can learn more about making instant coffee the Starbucks way from this YouTube video.

Starbucks has officially launched its new instant coffee line called the VIA Ready Brew. You know the drill – just add hot water, and you’re ready to go. But Starbucks claims that VIA actually resembles coffee.
Don’t believe the caffeinated hype? Try VIA yourself (if you hurry), and get a free sample mailed to you by [...]
From this Starbucks Idea post, it sounds like Starbucks will be entering the instant coffee market starting next week.
Oh no, an instant way to feed the addiction.

Staring in March, Starbucks is going after the cost-conscious coffee addict with the introduction of breakfast Meal Deals. For $3.95, you’ll get a tall latte and pastry or a drip coffee with a breakfast sandwich.
There’s no mention of my favorite cheapo combo of coffee and a pastry. I guess you still can get that for [...]
As Chinese New Year approaches, you can find customary (and yummy) gau throughout the Islands (check Kin Wah Chop Suey for some freshly made gau on the Windward side). But, what if you were to take this traditional treat and spin it with modern day influences such as those served at Starbucks? You’d get a [...]
Is it me or has Starbucks adopted the No Ka Oi color scheme with its recent cards? Starbucks Red, black (and gold), and white.
No Ka Oi!

Starbucks finally fixed their problematic lids with the tight orifice. These lids would simply crush the regular straws forcing you to go big, long, and thick.
The new lids have a hexagonal cut instead of being quartered. Now straws have an easier time sliding in and out of this looser lid.

As far as I know Starbucks still has those faulty plastic lids that squeeze your straw so you can’t actually drink your drink. Instead of fixing the lid, you know what Starbucks is doing?
They’re passing out the bigger, longer, and thicker straw typically used for venti sized drinks. With this monster, you can [...]
Starbucks and (PRODUCT)RED have joined up to donate funds to the Global Fund. With each purchase of Starbucks’ holiday drinks (peppermint mocha twist, gingersnap latte, or espresso truffle), Starbucks donates a nickel to save lives in Africa. When making your purchase at Starbucks locations, look for the big red ( ) and [...]
As SBUX stock continues to plummet, the Starbucks brand is trying new ways to connect to customers. Recently, Starbucks has made a strong push into social networks now with a presence in YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
Through these mechanisms, Starbucks has made some announcements like its World AIDS day contributions, (STARBUCKS)RED drink donations, and a [...]
For the past month or so, I noticed that the plastic cups Starbucks uses for iced drinks feel different. They’re not as soft as before and not as transparent, kinda cloudy looking. Supposedly, these new cups require less plastic or something.
This isn’t so bad. What is bad is the new lids. [...]
