Troy, thanks for the Seagate recommendation. The full size drives are fine (and cheaper). Oh yeah, that reminds me about the WDC laptop drive in an external drive enclosure that died too!

My preferred brand is Seagate. My old PC had two internals, my current Mac as two externals, and I use two portables for work. All Seagate. None of ’em have ever given me problems. And the portables are on sale @ Best Buy this week. 😉
