Justin Bieber is Relevant
Maybe Justin Bieber isn’t so bad after all and has relevancy in the current pop scene. His appearance and musical performance on Saturday Night Live didn’t hurt his reputation.
And check his kicks!

Talk about lightning striking twice. Congrats to @abaggy and his family for being THE iPad Power Family. Not just one, not two, but three iPads to go around. And two of those were won from online contests. Simply amazing. Wonder what the odds were?
Still leaning towards the Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home, but in the black or brown color.
Just a quick followup after hitting up Cerealremix this morning. If you remember, I had some suggestions for this new cereal bar in my initial review.
Give Cerealremix a try and follow them online.
Now this was a welcomed surprise. Klout.com tagged me as an influence on Twitter coffee discussions, and as part of a new experimental promotion, gave me samples of Starbucks coffee. Cool!
No, I didn’t solicit Klout for anything, I just blog and tweet about Starbucks… a lot I suppose. So waiting at home, I found a delivery containing Starbucks’ Pike Place Roast, the bold Caffe Verona, and some coupons.
Oh, and since I did receive these goodies free of charge, I have to disclose that fact. But really, how can you complain about getting free goodies about something you enjoy and love? And how can you not appreciate a company for rewarding its customers? So kudos to Klout and Starbucks for a great partnership and promotion!
Now excuse me as a brew my cup of morning coffee. Will it be Pike Place or Verona? 🙂
Eclipse is dark, edge, and for the boys according to this sneak peek.
And Taylor Lautner’s hidden talent is catching grapes.
Looking for a movie for the weekend? George Clooney stars in Up in the Air. Available on Amazon, iTunes, and Vudu for $3.99.
On Week 3 of Dancing with the Stars, American icon and astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, returned to Earth after his meteoric dancing voyage. While Buzz had the fan support of the seniors, you kew his dancing time would end sooner rather than later.
Week 3’s performances were pretty weak in my view. No real great dances that stuck out; they were all kinda meh. Derek and Nicole were good but were blasted by the judges for taking too many liberties with their quickstep. Looks like D-Hough changed up his strategy this year and decided to break the rules early in the competition.
The most gimmicky and therefore fun performance belonged to Maks and Erin with a blindfolded waltz.
This blindfolded dance reminded me of other blindfolded moments like Luke Skywalker light saber training or this sudden death ending of Dodgeball.
Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox are doing their part to protect the students, teachers, and educational system in California with this message.
This week’s Time magazine features great, well-written articles about Steve Jobs and the introduction of the iPad. I love these two quotes:
Once upon a time, there was a very rich, very clever man. He got up on a big stage and held up a new kind of computer. It was flat, and it didn’t have a keyboard. This very rich, very clever man then tried to convince a bunch of reporters that in five years this flat, keyboardless computer would be the most popular kind of computer in the country. Some of them even believed him.
The year was 2000. The man’s name was Bill Gates.
One of the things that makes Apple unique is that it never holds focus groups. It doesn’t ask people what they want; it tells them what they’re going to want next.
Give the articles a read even if you’re not an iPad fanboy.
Here I am with a coughing fit for the past few weeks. Then, like last time, all this coughing has strained the muscles around my ribs. So I’ve been taking anti-inflammatory medication to reduce the pain. The doc has now prescribed antibiotics, so I’m on Day 2 of the handy “Z pack.” To top it off, my coughing might be due to allergies which I’ve never had so I got meds for this too.
What a wuss! Getting old ain’t fun. 🙁
Oh wait, Truly Madly Deeply is playing on KRTR 96.3…
