Then this tweet from Alien Ninja writer, designer, and director, Greg Aronowitz, reaffirmed that the Alien Ninja was back.

Still not sure what the current state of the project is, but there’s still hope the Ninja makes an appearance somewhere.

But who am I to understand the ways of a ninja, especially an alien one!

Yes, the Alien Ninja series is still alive according to this interview with movie producer Sheri Bryant.

In the meantime, I’m in post on our first web series called “Alien Ninja”. I wanted to get into the new media space and thought that a sci-fi comedy would be the best way to go. So we shot for a week in Hawaii and ended up with something very funny! Who can resist an Alien who happens to also be a Ninja crash landed on Oahu?

So despite the non-existent domains at alienninja.tv and alienninja.net (these both now default to GoDaddy.com ads), the Alien Ninja could still be making an online appearance in the foreseeable future. Then you could see some mad acting skills! 😉

In Part 10, the cast and crew are now in Hawaii and filming on location at Secret Island.

What happens if the Alien Ninja production crew need extras during the filming? Would they ask picnickers if they want to join the fun? If they did, it might look something like this…

A higher resolution Vimeo version if YouTube isn’t cooperating.

Print these out and kids can also practice their scissor cutting skills with them!

Or is this a method of honing future ninja skills?

His alienninja.tv web site continues to chug along, now adding a soundtrack.

As the Ninja’s quest for the Fiery Lotus goes on, he now has an accompanying weblog at alienninja.net. Ninja gear anyone? Not yet anyways as the Ninja is still constructing this site. Wow, the Alien Ninja is one busy dude.

Hey look, shoutouts to Pulpconnection and behind the scenes sword action on YouTube.

I demand you tell me anything you know of the Master and the Fiery Lotus!!!

Might be the beginning of the viral campaign to make this xenophobe famous.

The Fiery Lotus reminds me of the Last Starfighter’s Death Blossom maneuver. Maybe the Alien Ninja is distantly related to the Last Starfighter’s co-pilot, Grig?

After periodic checks on alienninja.tv, there’s finally a splash page that takes you to a MySpace channel for the Alien Ninja. And I’ll be damned, but I signed up for a MySpace account so I could see any activity on this page. Who knows maybe the Alien Ninja will be my first MySpace friend!

Is this worth it? 😉

They’re supposed to make an appearance at Comic-Con which is starting up this week.

Doing some Googling for the past few days has yielded nada. But today, the domain name alienninja.tv is showing some life. Before, this URL would time out. Now at least, there’s a blank directory listing perhaps indicating more to follow.

Can’t wait to see what secrets the Alien Ninjas hold.

]]> 2413 The Secret of Alien Ninjas in Hawaii https://www.pulpconnection.net/2008/07/the-secret-of-alien-ninjas-in-hawaii/ https://www.pulpconnection.net/2008/07/the-secret-of-alien-ninjas-in-hawaii/#comments Sun, 20 Jul 2008 11:02:00 +0000 http://www.pulpconnection.com/2008/07/the-secret-of-alien-ninjas-in-hawaii/ Who knew there were aliens in Hawaii? Who knew there were ninjas in Hawaii? Who knew there were alien ninjas in Hawaii? What better place to reveal the secret existence of alien ninjas than Secret Island?

While at a picnic at Secret Island, a film crew was at work with some unusual subjects.

These are the Alien Ninjas which hopefully go viral on mobile networks near you. Producers from Los Angeles came to Hawaii to shoot these video segments that are supposed to be shown on mobile networks (aka cell phones). I’m not sure of the plot or story line other than there’s a robot, a male alien ninja, and a female alien that likes fruits (apples, bananas, and pineapples).

The Alien Ninjas are also launching a web site at alienninja.tv (I think, not active yet) and are going to Comic-Con 2008 after this Hawaii production.

Interestingly and coincidentally enough, a fellow alumni was heading the shoot and provided this information (though I probably mangled it after hours in the sun). And although I had to pass on being an extra in the evening luau scene, I did have a campy segment reacting to alien ninjas battling it out so keep an eye out!

Check out more behind the scenes pictures of Alien Ninjas!
