I know I’m not, but watching this Judge Joe Brown episode about a case against a wedding photographer was entertaining if nothing else. Who’s right or wrong? I can’t really say. I mean the bride paid $1300 for her entire wedding photography package. While that is a lot of money, it’s not inconceivable to pay more for a lifetime of memories.

While the photographer’s actions and gear may be defendable, she definitely could have handled things differently. Meeting her client outside of Walmart where the pictures were developed? Maybe not so good an idea. Walmart may print great photos but just the fact of meeting her client outside of the big box retailer will give the wrong impression. Sure, print them, pick them up but deliver them elsewhere.

Back in the day, local music group Kalapana sang “For You, I’d Chase a Rainbow.” On Thursday, March 31, 2011 for you, The Weather Channel and photographer Peter Lik will chase a lava flow on the Big Island. The Weather Channel is premiering a new series called From the Edge with Peter Lik that captures the beauty of America in pictures.

Peter Lik is an international photographer doing what he can to take the perfect shots of the wonders of the world. His first challenge is photographing the fiery Madam Pele herself.

But patience, perseverance, and a little bit of craziness pays off with gorgeous pictures like this.

After the adventures in Hawaii, follow along with Peter, get some of his photography tips and take in the wonders of America from the edge.

Russell Tanoue in Action (Sorta)

After going to the Aquarium, we decided to stroll around Waikiki since we’re rarely in the neighborhood. As we start our walk right outside of the Aquarium, I see this dude wearing some fly New Balance kicks (shoe fanatics see shoes first before faces). Then it hit me. That’s none other than the Tabasco Man’s idol, Russell Tanoue.

I guess he’s doing a photo shoot since a model appears a few seconds later.

We continue our walk for several minutes then head back towards the car. We pass by Russell again who looks like he finished shooting. I think that guy by the truck was getting a sampling of Russell Tanoue in action (or of the model who went topless!).
