Sampled Wraps and Rolls Hawaii
Refreshing and light were my first thoughts biting into a California Crab wrap from Wraps and Rolls Hawaii.
But first, full disclosure that this wrap is regularly priced at $2.90, but I received it free as a gift.
Filled with imitation crab, rice noodles, crispy lettuce, avocado, and cucumber, the crab wrap was the right size with a nice balance of ingredients. The creamy wasabi dressing is a perfect match to spice up the wrap just enough. I would suggest that the dressing be in a wider container so I can dip the wrap instead of scooping it out with the included spoon.
The Wraps and Rolls Hawaii menu features more than just wraps, and they just opened a second location at Ward (in the former Ben and Jerry’s location).

La Isla Burrito Reviewed in Metromix Honolulu
Check out today’s home page of Metromix Honolulu.
La Isla Burrito is featured with reviews of several of their dishes. How does Metromix like the food?
In this economy, you can’t beat the combination of tasty plates, good portions and good prices. And if in doubt, just go for the huevos rancheros.
Sounds about right if you ask me.
Uninspired by International Delight Coffee House Inspirations
So I caved in and opened my International Delight White Chocolate Mocha coffee creamer early. Touted as a coffee house inspiration, I was sadly left uninspired. I couldn’t taste a thing in my coffee. Maybe this creamer is geared towards sophisticated palettes that can detect subtle nuances whereas my tastes tend towards bold and simple.
Like with Western Digital hard drives, I continue to get burned with the visual appeal of International Delight. When will I learn? Oh wait, I forgot that I have a weak mind.
International Delight Still in the Game
International Delight is still competing in the coffee creamer battles with Coffeemate, releasing three new flavors, White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and Vanilla Latte. These new “coffee house inspirations” come in newly designed, stylish silver and black bottles.
I have to say that International Delight probably has the best packaging designs and names for their creamer flavors. Too bad the actual taste of the creamers don’t live up to the hype. No matter which ones I try, I always fall back to Coffeemate which simply tastes better.
If you want to keep up with the latest with International Delight, become a fan on Facebook.

We had the Island Chicken Burrito and the huevos con papas y chorizo, and the dishes were served quickly by the friendly staff. The Island Burrito had tender chunks of chicken with fresh salsa and the huevos con papas chorizo was downright tasty.
The location is on the smaller side so don’t expect to bring large parties, but you can always place a phone order ahead of time.

And just between you and me, the name “La Isla Burrito” reminds me of Madonna’s classic song…
“Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be”

Delicious Fat with Your Shower?
If getting a caffeine jolt during your morning shower isn’t enough, how about adding in some delicious fat in the form of bacon soap? Okay, okay, this is only bacon scented soap, but who knew bacon was so versatile?
Peanut Butter, Bacon, Cookies?!
Bacon is the ultimate flavor right? It’s even good enough to make into a cookie! And serve them for dinner as Pulp reader Jessica did this past weekend.
Described as “pretty good! Sweet and savory. And they’re gluten-free.” Seems like something you have to try at least once.
Seen at Price Busters
A stop at Price Busters brings these gems. Yes, the Kailua location reopened across the street from its original location.
Snickers Fudge (that tastes about the same as regular Snickers)
Jumbo remote control. This was seriously large.
Pill box that was just as large as the remote control. Fits in your pocket?! I don’t think so.
Coconut M&Ms are still available.
