That’s for the new Canon 5D MkIII DSLR camera that was officially announced today.
Would I know how to use all the power of this camera? Heck no, but I’ll sure take a lot of pictures with it. 🙂

As the Linsanity train keeps chugging along, here’s one stop I can do without, JLin’s basketball kicks. It’s great that Nike gave him his own player’s exclusive, but they ain’t for me. Not the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low that Jeremy wore during the NBA All Star Weekend or his Zoom Hyperfuse. Nice, but just not my style.

Though I do admit, I like the above two better than these mockups.
So what do three families eat while at Shaver Lake? Luckily, my sister-in-law was in charge of the overall menu and planned out all kinds of dishes. Take a look…
Needless to say, I think I put on a few pounds even with all the daily activities in the snow.
Here are some pictures of the Shaver Lake area, the adjacent China Peak ski resort, and the Pride of Pinnacle rental house.
The Pride of Pinnacle is a great rental home that could be epic. It’s centrally located in the Shaver Lake town with plentiful play areas nearby. It’s spacious and very uniquely decorated with fun themes adorning the household. It’s stocked with supplies, kitchen utensils and appliances, a huge washer and dryer, and even games for the kids. So what’s wrong? It comes down to expectations.
The description for the Pride of Pinnacle mentions a lot of features that simply were not working during our stay. Nothing major, but enough for a minor letdown. The lift for the firewood – busted. So you had to run outside to get more kindle. A broken window, broken chairs, burnt out light bulbs all over the house. Household Wi-fi? Advertised, but non-functional. In fact, there was no Internet in the house since the DSL modem wasn’t working. Luckily, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint offered up one or two bars of signal in the area.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d still rate the Pride of Pinnacle a four star location, but it could easily be a perfect five stars with just a bit more maintenance.

Schweddy Balls is so 2011. The latest en vogue Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor is the “Taste the Lin-sanity.” Yes, Jeremy Lin has now inspired an ice cream flavor.
Sadly, this limited flavor is very limited, only available at the company’s Harvard Square location.
And it finally hits me! I look down at my arm and wonder what that little spot is. Of course! I had donated blood two weeks ago before leaving for Shaver Lake, CA. And I’m guessing that loss of blood is what caused my mid-air medical incident.

Eventually, I made it back to my seat with oxygen tank in tow, thanks to the great attendants of United Airlines. They comforted my family and made several inquiries if I needed medical attention upon landing, and even after arrival, they watched over me as I deplaned feeling considerably better. So note to self, don’t donate blood before flying.
Saw this TV commercial for the Volkswagen Tiguan and love it! Didn’t know what to expect from the Riding Dirty music, the bass boomers in the trunk, and the car’s underlighting.
International Delight is more known for their coffee creamer so why not get into the coffee market? That’s exactly what they did with the introduction of three flavors of iced coffee that comes in a carton. Now available is Original, Mocha, and Vanilla.
At the local Safeway, only the Original “Sweet & Creamy” was available, and it is sweet and creamy. No need to add any International Delight creamer since it’s seemingly already in there. What the Original flavor reminds me of is Costco’s Latte Freeze drink, only in a creamier liquid form. To me, the drink is sweeter than coffee-ish, so I add more ice to dilute the sweetness. I gotta say that the milk carton container is very convenient to get a hit of coffee whenever I want.
Now to find Mocha and Vanilla…
Here are some highlights from Unconferenz 2012 that I pieced together using Storify. Sorry, but you have to click on “Click to Continue” to see the full embedded story but before then, just a few pictures of the concluding capstone Ignite Honolulu 3 session.
Would you take a cruise re-enacting the voyage of the sunken Titanic? On its 100-year anniversary of this tragedy, the cruise ship, Balmoral, will take the exact route as the fateful Titanic.
The ship will carry 1309 passengers (the same number of Titanic passengers) on an 8-night journey, and on April 14, hold a memorial at the location of the Titanic’ sinking. The on-board menu and entertainment will mirror that of 1912.
I’m sure the contemporary Titanic movie will be screened during the voyage and heck, Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On will be overplayed.
Would you take this fate-tempting trip?
