Coffee is Good for You
On the medical front, there’s a new study saying coffee (in moderation) has some healthy benefits.
Get a cup of joe or better yet visit your local Starbucks and read about the benefits of coffee.

Mea culpa to Wayne’s World for not mentioning his blog. Filled with the latest deals and even a picture of a “juiced up” du575 pumping them muscles. Check it out at:

Overheard in the men’s restroom at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards.
Informant: Sup, Diddy, what’u rockin’.
Diddy: Aw man, this thing is dope. Check it out, I wuz at the crib, cruizing the triple W peeping da goods for VMA gift bags. I read about this iPod Shuffle from this dope site, and I said I gots to get me some of these! I had my biotches hookup Stevie J on my celly, and we had a tete a tete if you dig. I said, “Stevie, Diddy needs them Shuffles for the 05 VMAs, but none of this white sh*t. Theys got to be gangsta!” My man Stevie is da bomb, and he hooked us up with these bad boys. Even preloaded with all the love from Fat Joe and 50 Cent. Now beat yo ass outta hea before I pop a cap in your grill.

Was a crazy week for picking up new kicks. First up, I managed to get a hold of a pair of Tiffany Diamond Dunks and Zoom Team Editions. Then Gung Gung Chung wanted new court shoes to dominate the Badminton League for Retired Chinese in Hawaii (BLRCH). Hey, just in time for the Footlocker Friends & Family sale! Picked out two possibilities, the ultra performance Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K5 (Kobe’s signature shoe) and the clearance RBK Afronaut (the Afronaut?!?).
All in all, a good week but would’ve been ever better if I found some Jordan P-Rods. More pics of the pickups.

With the all the madness surrounding the Tiffany Diamond Dunks, the next hyped Nike Skateboarding (SB) release would probably be the “Shanghai” Dunks scheduled for a September release.
The Shanghais look okay, and if you want some love when going for dim sum at your favorite spots, be sure to rock these. Fat hau!
Robert Cringely is back pondering if Google has peaked and segues into stating that “the biggest threat to Microsoft might not be those G-men at all, but Apple.” Yes, Apple, and here’s why:
Here’s where I go out on a limb, but I think Microsoft’s clearest threat still comes from Apple, though not the way most people expect. Yes, Apple is about to take Microsoft to the woodshed when it comes to Internet movie distribution. Yes, Apple already super-dominates the music player market where Microsoft doesn’t even really exist. But the real jewel is one Microsoft has to lose, not gain — the PC platform, itself.
How can Apple pull this off? The Mac platform is transitioning to Intel processors (and therefore current Wintel boxes), Apple continues to sell millions of iPods, each hard disk-based iPod is a bootable device, include the OS X operating system on the bootable iPods, and let the people decide if they like Windows or OS X. Hmmm….
It’s an interesting hypothetical read.

Who’s next? Kristoffer “Jason Matthews” Polaha? Brooke “Nicole Booth” Burns? I guess these actors gotta keep working until the reunion special, Return to the North Shore, starts filming. 😉
Update/Spoiler: Okay, I guess James Remar is now off of BSG.
Last time, the Coffeeman was doing some ironing wearing a thong. This time, the Coffeelady was doing some chores wearing workout gear. Must be the hot weather outside.
No, we’re not voyeurs, but a free show is a free show, right?
Was flipping channels the other day and came across Bronkaida, a Kikaida knockoff who has bronchitis. He uses his inhaler to change to his super robot form and assails his opponents with moves like rug burns and purple nurples.
On OC16’s Dis-N-Dat TV. Was so stoopid, it was funny.
Read about the ten things Google has found to be true, aka its corporate philosophy. Related to comments from a previous post, Uneducated IT Managers and How To Deal, comes this from #9 You can be serious without a suit.
Google puts users first when it comes to our online service, Google Inc. puts employees first when it comes to daily life in our Googleplex headquarters. There is an emphasis on team achievements and pride in individual accomplishments that contribute to the company’s overall success. Ideas are traded, tested and put into practice with an alacrity that can be dizzying. Meetings that would take hours elsewhere are frequently little more than a conversation in line for lunch and few walls separate those who write the code from those who write the checks. This highly communicative environment fosters a productivity and camaraderie fueled by the realization that millions of people rely on Google results. Give the proper tools to a group of people who like to make a difference, and they will.
