Ryan & Judie’s Wedding

Went to the wedding of Ryan and Judie last night at Ihilani. Had a fun time. Groomsmen and Bride’s Maids’ speeches were funny (and some times quirky), but it’s all good. The Ihilani Presidential Suite is unreal! Ryan and Judie, wish you the best.
And for some pictures…
Nike Vapor Dunks

Another new Nike SB release, the Vapor Dunks, looks funky but ain’t too bad when seen up close. Not sure if they’re still available from in4mation or Kicks HI. At least you can get these at a reasonable price unlike the hype driving up the costs of the Tiffany Diamond Dunks.
Anonymous Comments Turned Back On
No need to sign up or register in order to leave comments. The conscientious folks at Google’s Blogger service added a word verification option that helps prevent spam-like comments. It’s pretty easy-just type in the letters you see in a picture when leaving comments.
Update: Looks like folks are already finding ways of defeating these word verification tests, aka captchas. PWNtcha does just that with mixed success.
Dancing Rematch

In an earlier post about Dancing with the Stars, I thought John “Mr. Peterman” O’Hurley was robbed of the title. Others on the Net complained as well, so what does ABC do? Capitalize on the publicity and have a dance off between the two finalists. Mark you calendars for Tues, Sept 20. I think the winner is determined by call in votes.
Woo boy, I haven’t seen so much dancing excitement since Turbo, Kelly, and Ozone (otherwise known as TKO) broke it down in Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Rent or Buy On-line Music
Should you purchase music from on-line retailers like the iTunes Music Store or subscribe to music services like Napster and Yahoo? Of course, Walt Mossberg has this to say:
But for most people, it’s no contest: Right now iTunes and the iPod are the better choice in digital music.
Hey, wait, he didn’t mention his assistant Katie in this one. She must be on vacation.
Zoom Team Edition

These white/flint grey Zoom Team Editions are starting to grow on me. Price is right too at less than $80. These aren’t the Jordan P-rods or the Diamond Dunks, but it has some possibilities. I’ve always had a thing for grey shoes though my current rotation is leaning way to the black.
Nike Diamond Dunks in HI
The over-hyped Nike Diamond Dunks dropped in Hawaii today. Going price was $200, and places still sold out in no time. Also known as the Dunk Low Pro SB Aqua/Cool Grey or Tiffanys cause of its color scheme, I’ll have to pass. How do you match these kicks?
Read about the Tiffanys in a raging discussion on NikeTalk. Over 100 pages long!
Check out Fireswamp
Be sure to check out kazuo’s new blog, Fireswamp, Dedicated to the 3 Terrors of the Fireswamp and other whimsy.
This blogging stuff is kinda addicting. Not sure why though. I can see blog-like apps being used for work-related tasks, but I doubt folks at work would agree. Sad the life…
