Any word if Apple is going to release any new iPods soon? Wouldn’t want to buy a 60GB one and then two months later a new and better one comes out.

That’s just part of living with Apple products. You just never know when the latest and greatest is going to be released.
Usually (with the iMac G5 being the exception), products are out for one year before a replacement comes out. A “bumped” version could come out before one year but only specs/capacity would change, not feature sets. This 1GB Nano features the same things as the other Nanos, no new features, just smaller capacity.
Rumors about a wireless iPod have always been around. Stream music wirelessly, transfer/sync music wirelessly, etc…

You can get the 512mb shuffle from amazon.com for $66 with free shipping. Not much cheaper than apple.com but you could buy a small coffee from starbucks with the savings….or three minutes at Club 939….
