Kanye West continues to produce great music infused with creativity. But behind this musical creativity is Kanye’s drive for greatness fueled by his addiction to sex!? Yep, according to Mr. West himself, his sexual addiction funneled into other endeavors is key to his success.
So those looking to leave their mark on the world, you may want to heed Kanye’s advice.
Starbucks has officially launched its new instant coffee line called the VIA Ready Brew. You know the drill – just add hot water, and you’re ready to go. But Starbucks claims that VIA actually resembles coffee.
Don’t believe the caffeinated hype? Try VIA yourself (if you hurry), and get a free sample mailed to you by filling out this form. Otherwise, VIA costs $3 for a pack of 3 or $10 for a 12 pack.
And follow @Starbucks on Twitter for lots of updates. I asked if VIA was available in Hawaii yet, but not until later this year. 🙁
NBA big man Shaquille O’Neal and me are baller brothers separated at birth. Yeah, right (but our birthdays are almost the same). Anyways, before the 2009 NBA All Star Game even began, Shaq started off the All Star intros proper jamming with the Jabbawockees.
Even after all these years banging in the NBA, I can’t believe a guy of his size (and age) can move like that.
From this Starbucks Idea post, it sounds like Starbucks will be entering the instant coffee market starting next week.
Oh no, an instant way to feed the addiction.
Staring in March, Starbucks is going after the cost-conscious coffee addict with the introduction of breakfast Meal Deals. For $3.95, you’ll get a tall latte and pastry or a drip coffee with a breakfast sandwich.
There’s no mention of my favorite cheapo combo of coffee and a pastry. I guess you still can get that for less than $3.95 (and don’t forget the 10% discount for being a Gold member).
Stopped by Ross and saw some crazy colorful and cheap kicks. I don’t recall seeing too many Nikes at Ross, but there were a few this time. Wonder what’s up with the fluorescent colors?
Air Huarache ($25)
Vintage trainers ($25, not sure of the name). Did Deion Sanders wear these?
Air Force 25 ($40)
Even though these were cheap, I passed on them. Though walking around Disneyland in some white, pink, and green kicks would be something!
Okay, these are not THE Air Jordans but are of the Jordan family of shoes.
Yes, those are velco straps on the Air Jordan Retro 1 Low. Talk about real old school.
As Chinese New Year approaches, you can find customary (and yummy) gau throughout the Islands (check Kin Wah Chop Suey for some freshly made gau on the Windward side). But, what if you were to take this traditional treat and spin it with modern day influences such as those served at Starbucks? You’d get a coffee-infused gau!
A great combination of old and new that offers an unique flavor and a caffeinated zing.
Some similar but different kicks from Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

Nike continues to promote Kobe Bryant and his signature shoes with the latest “NotMyBrokenAnkles” campaign. Here is part of the message Kobe released as President of Ankle Insurance Co.:
Broken ankles can happen at anytime. Don’t let your friends, loved ones or opponents suffer from slow game any longer. If your superior quickness has ever broken someone’s ankles, don’t just laugh at them. Get them the piece of mind they so desperately need.
Of course, the push here is to buy the Zoom Kobe IV which is available in a rainbow of colors.
