Latest Twilight Trailer Soon
The latest trailer for Twilight is showing tonight for a limited time but will be in theaters starting on October 10. For a sneak peek, look at the timer below and come back when the time is up! Hurry though since the sneak peek will only be watchable for one hour.

Visiting the Apple Store Waikiki
Took a quick visit to the latest Apple Store in Hawaii located in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. It is big and surprisingly empty. Not overrun with kids like the Ala Moana store and no local celebrities like the Kahala location. I wonder how the tourist traffic is faring?
The exterior lava rock facade looks awesome. There’s a metallic sheen to it, but each panel isn’t perfectly patterned like every other panel giving the store a strong but organic feel. Here’s a closeup of the lava rock material.
Hey, cool, educators can schedule a class field trip to this Apple Store where students can create projects using iLife or display their work in the store.
On the way to the Apple Store, I stopped by Island Vintage Coffee for a pick-me-up.
They have a good location at the junction point of the escalators of the renovated Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Reminder to self, stop getting dark chocolate-based coffee drinks. The dark chocolate is bittersweet making the drink, well, bittersweet.

Coming to Starbucks During the Holidays
The Holiday season is almost here and that means the return of Starbucks’ Peppermint Mocha, arguably their best drink. But the Starbucks siren is serving up a twist on this classic with the Peppermint Twist. This variation includes a twist of peppermint and spearmint along with candy sprinkles.
Joining the Holiday seasonal lineup is the Espresso Truffle (hot chocolate revved up with espresso) and the Gingersnap Latte (not to be confused with gingerbread). The Espresso Truffle sounds like a decadent hot drink loaded with calories. Eh on gingerbread, will try the gingersnap. Ohhh, peppermint brownies…
Twilight the Movie Has an Official Soundtrack
Amazon has the Twilight soundtrack available for pre-order, but… for $9.99, you don’t know what you’re getting since the list of tracks isn’t available yet. The CD does go on sale November 4 so there’s a lot of time for the track listing.
One song that will be on the CD is Paramore’s Decode which reminds me of Tatu’s All the Things She Said with some guitar action from the theme song from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Still good song though.

Virtually Experience the Apple Store Waikiki Opening
No, I didn’t brave the long line and hours awaiting the grand opening of the latest Apple Store in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki. But it’s almost like I didn’t have to with Ryan Ozawa’s great coverage of the event. He’s got pictures and videos starting from his 3am start time in line.
Thanks Ryan! If only I had an Apple Royal Hawaiian tee shirt then this virtual experience would be reality.

Iolani Classic Kicks

The Iolani Classic high school basketball tournament is turning 25 years old(!), and sponsor Nike is helping the milestone with the release of customized Air Force 25 kicks. These limited edition sneaks will be given to participating Classic coaches and those supporting the tournament over the years.
