Could You, Would You Drink This “Coffee?”
There was mixed feedback about drinking coffee from a cup left in the men’s restroom. But how about this one?
That’s a Starbucks VIA instant coffee packet abandoned on the ground. Looks like the packaging is intact but a little trampled. Could you, would you drink this “coffee?”
My Radio Lineup
What radio stations do you have pre-set in your car? I’ve mixed mine up just a bit.
93.1 The Zone. This is the “jockless” station for me. While The Zone does have deejays, I don’t know any of them, but I like the station’s balance of music.
93.9 Jamz. Playing ol’ skool music, the revamped 93.9 saw a resurgence and is where I go for my Bobby Brown and Expose fix. The station was truly jockless until recently, and they’re playing shenanigans with the listeners. No commercials means no commercials, but the banter of their deejays still stops the music.
102.7 Da Bomb. The most “progressive pop” station on my radio. Sam and Ryan in the morning have some funnies once in awhile.
Krater 96.3. Yes, I am getting old.
Island 98.5. It broke my heart when the Wake Up Crew was transplanted to 98.5 with its Hawaiian style and reggae music format. But after a year on Island, the Wake Up Crew is back to its old self. This station is programmed on my radio and is the station I prefer to listen to the deejays do their thing.
Star 101.9. Star still occupies the last button on my radio. The music alternative is a good change of pace from the R&B, pop, and easy listening.
Gone from my lineup is Power 104.3. The music didn’t really distinguish itself and neither did the deejays.
Still No Coinstar Coffee in Hawaii?
I’ve used the Coinstar change counting machine to get some iTunes credit back in 2006. Interestingly enough, although Starbucks is an advertised Coinstar partner, the Hawaii machines didn’t dispense Starbucks gift cards in ’06. And seems like they still don’t in 2011 even though using Coinstar is one of the highlighted tips of getting the most out of your Starbucks Card.
Panasonic Cordless Phone Replacement Batteries
Just verified that the Panasonic rechargeable batteries, HHR-4DPA, work as replacements for the HHH-55AAABU batteries that originally came with the phone (model KX-TGA101). Both are AAA sized and 1.2 V, but the 4DPA are 700 mAh while the 55AAABU are only 550 mAh.
You probably can find cheaper, but these qualify for Amazon’s free Super Saving shipping if your order is over $25.
Sun Powered Take 2
Updated my original Revolusun Sun Powered trailer with more material. Added images of the SunPower iPhone monitoring app, the wall mounted monitoring unit, weather conditions, and the washer and dryer running (and the meter was still running backwards).

Double Wide in Good Use
Yet again I am wrong. Earlier I questioned the need for two drive thru lanes at the renovated McDonalds in Kaneohe.
This picture only shows a portion of the long lines of cars filling both drive thru lanes.
Get Cheap HDMI Cables at Ross
Ross Dress for Less might as well be called Stuff for Less with the eclectic collection of discounted items they offer. If you’re in search for an HDMI cable to connect your High Definition television to a Blu-ray player or AppleTV, check the nearest Ross. You might luck out.
$9 for a 6-ft name brand cable. While probably not the cheapest for an HDMI cable, you save on shipping and time by buying locally.
