Just had to double check, but yes, regularly scheduled trash pickup for today (Friday) has been cancelled due to Hurricane Lane. The Opala web site provides more details. The challenge is dealing with one more week of trash while waiting a week until the next pickup.

Preparations for the oncoming Hurricane Lane continue, but it looks like Whole Foods in Kailua is ready. Boarded up windows and sandbags are in place, and they’re still open for the time being.
