    If you let the old shortening domains expire, all those links break.

    Also, URL shortening services don’t seem to matter as much anymore. They really exploded when everyone got on Twitter, but then Twitter stated their own t.co service which they automatically apply to all URLs in tweets, so you can just paste in a long link and it will only use the characters needed for the t.co link.

      David, thanks for the info. Yeah, bitly warns about broken links if changing domains. And I know URL shortening isn’t in vogue as it used to be. But because ninja!!!! And I get bored with domain names here and there 🙂
