Bonus Lana Del Rey
No matter what you think of Lana Del Rey’s musical origin, I do like her musical style. I’ve been binging on her tunes for some time now, and look at this. Four unreleased tracks have surfaced on the web. Bonus!

On Island 98.5, Tuesday mornings are designated as Two Voice Tuesdays where Gregg Hammer mashes up two impersonations. You call in with two personalities, and Sir Hammer does his impromptu magic. This past Tuesday, you could have heard a Samoan Linda Lingle, a Micronesian Frank Delima, a Samoan Hitler, Larry Price mixed with Al Sharpton, and more. Did you catch it? If so, take a listen!
Gregg needs to un-Japanese his Chinese impersonation though. Wonder what a Chinese Bubba Fujimoto would sound like? 🙂
It’s been a “technical difficulties kind of week” around here. At work, we’re fighting problems dealing with new software and hardware installations. I’m trying to figure out why my Mac keeps disconnecting from the wireless network. But it seems these tech difficulties aren’t exclusive. While filling up gas at Sam’s Club this morning, each pump displayed this sign.
I had no problem though as the pump quickly filled the tank and took my $$$. Besides potential technical difficulties, this sign has some grammatical difficulties.
That’s what I thought when I chomped into my first taste of the new Doritos Jacked. I saw these at Safeway and bought them without reading the package since I love me my Doritos. I thought the Jacked was in reference to a pepper jack flavor. But nooo. This Jacked variety of Doritos is physically bigger than regular Doritos and thicker as well.

For me, this “biggerness” of the Jacked threw off the distinct Doritos experience. I thought I was eating generic tortilla chips with some Doritos-like flavoring. It just didn’t feel like I was eating Doritos. Too thick, too crunchy, and the flavor doesn’t carry through the entire chip. I do like the heat of the Smoky Chipotle BBQ flavor though.
The Impulsive Buy has a better review of Doritos Jacked, but I won’t be buying these again.
The Air Jordan 4 was retroed in a Thunder and Lightning pack back in 2006. The 2012 Olympic Games bring a thunder and lightning rendition of the Air Jordan 6 and 7. Dubbed the Golden Moments Pack, this set includes an Air Jordan 6 in white and gold and an Air Jordan 7 in black and gold.
$350 for this piece of Olympic kicks history. Available August 18, 2012.
You saw what Pearlridge looked like in the morning. How about Ala Moana on a weekday morning right around 8 am.

A nice, leisurely walk before class started in the morning.
Never thought of LEGO as something beyond a toy for creativity, so I’m kinda interested to see what books about LEGO are about. Although a little dated, The Unofficial LEGO Builder’s Guide had solid reviews and covers a variety of topics including how to store LEGO bricks.
I’m looking at The LEGO Book mainly for the pictures of LEGO throughout the years.
Nike’s new Air Max Express is a great combination of old and new stylings. Love the vintage Air Max logo and incorporating a velcro strap is always a plus. These colorways are crazy, but they work. The orange grey is my favorite but the black and green is definitely the most wearable.
Of course, these would blend in perfectly at Disneyland…
Picked up Draw Something and SoundHound from Starbucks today. These are the weekly Pick of the Week freebies, and as an added bonus, the Starbucks treat receipts are back. Buy a drink in the AM and get any grande iced drink for 2-bucks after 2 PM. That’s any drink including a custom creation with extra shots.
The closed Super Geeks business location didn’t remain vacant for long.
From a computer and tech shop, it’s now an Internet Sweepstakes location. Are these Internet sweepstakes games legal or not? To be determined. But never mind that. Check out the home in the left edge of the picture. Just how many photovoltaic solar panels are there?
Comedian Chris Rock. Chef Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook fame. Mix them together and what does that sound like? Let the creative genius of Gregg Hammer work his magic.
