Men and their toys are going to get a boost when the new Lego store opens at Ala Moana on July 29. Hawaii reportedly has a big Lego fan base represented by the Lego Enthusiasts Association of Hawaii (LEAHI), hence the logical choice of opening a Honolulu location.
On August 15, the first 300 customers who spend $35 at the store will receive a special Lego set of a humuhumunukunukuapua’a and coral. That’s definitely a collector’s item!
I got to check this store out and perhaps, bring in some of my vintage stuff.
Thanks to @hawaii for the picture.
So you thought the Inside 939 question and answer sessions were done? Not quite. Here’s a question that came in via Twitter asking about the salaries of go-go dancers. Just for some background, but Club 939 at times has changed their venue into a night club.
I want to know how much go-go dancers get paid. I’m seriously in the wrong profession. Heh.
The response:
Easy answer is… Depends. There seems to be two tiers of Gogo dancers. If they are ‘established’ then they usually won’t dance for less than $100-150. Established means they have been dancing at big clubs (pipeline, level 4, w, etc) as house gogos, ie every week.
The second tier is girls who are newer and unproven and will dance for $50-$100. Usually younger.
The established gogos do a much better job of promoting their events and actually have a fan base. So some promoters prefer these girls.
Other promoters will use cheaper girls because the promoters can’t get the established girls or can’t afford them.
If u need to get in touch with any gogos let me know- I know pretty much all of them.
Case closed.
As in HBO’s new comedy, not William Hung from American Idol. This comedy series tagged as “It’s hard to make an indecent living” tracks the down-and-out luck of a high school basketball coach who’s looking for a step up in life using his asset.
Watch the rated G trailer of Hung.
If there’s ever a doubt if the weather is right for iced coffee, you can find your answer at isiticedcoffeeweather.com.
Thanks! How have I been getting by without this great resource all this time?! I wonder if there’s a mobile iPhone version?
Let’s get this out of the way, but Lady GaGa is strange. Yet, she cranks out hit after hit. Could Paparazzi be her next chart topping single?
The Paparazzi video features Alexander Skarsgård from True Blood which, oh by the way, debuts its new season on June 14.
With the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen releasing June 24, a bunch of new toys are hitting the shelves. Check out this Bumblebee Voice Mixer mask.
With this helmet, you can remix your voice with six different music styles and play sounds of Bumblebee transforming. The best thing, of course, is looking like Bumblebee.
Wear this to your next kickball game, and you’ll definitely get some props.
When talking about Neil Patrick Harris, most people think of his role as youthful doctor, Doogie Howser M.D. or his more recent work on How I Met Your Mother.
For me, I’ll always remember NPH (as his fans call him) as the mind reading Colonel Carl Jenkins of Starship Troopers who exclaims “It’s afraid. It’s afraid!” while sensing the Brain Bug at the end of the movie.
And here I thought Kanye West was only a musical genius and budding kicks yeez-igner. But he writes books as well!
Okay, only one book so far… and it didn’t get great reviews on Amazon, but your Kanye collection won’t be complete without Thank You and You’re Welcome.
So Hawaii’s hottest gentlemen’s club, Club 939, is a place for nocturnals. But what about the daylight hours? Isn’t there a whole business opportunity being missed when the sun is out? Consider this daytime business model – a scantily clad coffee shop!
Despite the economic recession, this market has been quite successful in the Southern California region. That is young, clothes-challenged women serving up coffee and non-alcoholic slushees to primarily male patrons.
Just think of it, a Mr. Coffee (or even a $11,000 Starbucks Clover system), the same talented employees, and the Club 939 Café is now open for business!
Yes, you got that right. June 3 is National Fist Bump Day where the calling is:
for Americans, and perhaps even all global citizens, to put aside their differences — be they class, race, religion or values — and show their respect with a little bump.
So get your bump on today!
