Found this on the Net.
CBS ran an incredibly powerful story tonight that brings you to your feet and just keeps on giving each and every minute into it. Jason McElwain, an autistic high school basketball team member in Rochester NY, served as the coach’s assistant and spirit leader for several years. On the final game of the season the coach let him finally put on a jersey with the rest of the team. Watch what happens then…

No wonder the Sony Bean got an early demise, the fan base in Japan for Apple’s iPod has been exploding in the past years. Japan’s obsession with the iPod is making it rough for rivals Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic. At the end of 2005, the iPod market share of Japan’s digital-music players grew to 51.3%.
What’ll happen if and when THE video iPod is released? (Don’t mind my poor photo editing skills)

Apple’s One Billionth Song promotion is so yesterday, and I’m over not winning its goodies cause there’s the Ultimate Jordan auction to dream about. MJ, Nike, and eBay are collaborating to continue the aid for the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by auctioning off:
All of these items are authentically autographed by MJ himself.
You have to pre-qualify on eBay to participate in this auction for a good cause. The word is bidding for this ultimate collection starts at $425,000,000!! (Can’t confirm this dollar value). Check out Jumpman23.com for more details (and ignore the stupid Flash-based navigation system that doesn’t allow direct linking to pages).

Google has created Dashboard Widgets for Mac OS X. Now available are widgets for Blogger, Gmail, and one for Search History.
Easily publish to your Blogger blog or check Gmail by simply activating your widgets. Too easy.
Google announced a new service called Page Creator. This free tool allows users to create web pages without knowing HTML.
This must be a real killer service cause Google stopped accepting new applicants for Page Creator already. Here’s what I got when I applied.
Thank you for your interest in Google Page Creator! Google Page Creator has experienced extremely strong demand, and, as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity. In the meantime, please submit your email address and we will notify you as soon as we are ready to add new accounts. Thank you for your patience.

What type of meeting attendee are you? The Talker? The Sigher? The Killer? Or the productive, reasonable contributor?
About the productive, reasonable contributor:
If you get three of these people together in a meeting you should change the topic to quitting and starting a new company.

The iTunes Music Store had an on-going contest leading up to the sale of the one billionth song. I missed buying that special song since the contest is now over. The unnamed winner gets:
Ten iPods! Dear Pulpconnection readers, you know I woulda hooked up the bestest fans with an iPod, and a scholarship in the name of Pulpconnection would be impressive. Oh well, I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I just should be happy that Nick “Jessica’s ex” Lachey released a new single, What’s Left of Me.

Apple has officially announced a Special Event on February 28 to “see some fun new products from Apple.” The Event will be held on the Apple campus at 9AM.
Could be the coming out party for THE video iPod. The iPhone rumor is always out there. I’m hoping for some kind of DVR or at least a super duper version of Front Row and a video AirPort Express (AEx). You connect a video (AEx) to your home AV setup. Have videos, movies, or whatever stored on your Mac. Wirelessly connect your Mac to the video AEx, and you’re in business. Of course to make this work well, there also needs to be a remote control of some sort. How about a bigger version of THE video iPod that is like a tablet but with touch screen controls for playback? Sounds doable.

Get the pilot episode of Conviction, a new NBC legal drama, free in the iTunes Music Store. There’s also a free music video from the show along with a behind-the-scenes look.
Some familiar faces appear on the show. Ain’t that Charles Gunn from Angel?
