While the Sweet Sixteen games are underway, what did the first 48 victories look like? Nike teams had a whopping 81% of the wins, Adidas claimed 17%, and Temple’s Under Armour won a game for 2%.
In 2006, Nike had 73% of the first 48 wins and 58% in 2008. Adidas teams are way down, 23% in 2006, 29% in 2007, 38% in 2008, and only 17% in 2011.
All you iPad users, you notice something different when viewing Pulpconnection? Looks more swanky now, right? That’s the OnSwipe plugin/theme at work!
If you aren’t iPad-enabled, here are a few screen shots.

On a techie note, don’t forget to delete any server cached files, so the OnSwipe goodness displays correctly.

Read this article titled Starbucks Card Mobile Is a Hit: 3 Million People Pay Via Phone App, and first thing I thought was, “Really?”
It’s that popular? I can’t believe this is the “fastest way for customers to pay.” Seems like I can pay faster by pulling my Starbucks Rewards Card out of my wallet.
To pay using the Starbucks Mobile app, I have to unlock my phone, fire up the app, unlock the app, click on the Touch to Pay button, then have the cashier scan my phone. I don’t know about you but sure seems like a lot of steps.
Great news! Minnie Mouse has been rescued from her fall at Ala Moana. I suspect Prep & Landing’s Lanny and Wayne were called in during the Christmas off-season to perform the rescue.
At the start of March, I had the fortune of meeting up with NEENZ who introduced me to Enchante. Who’s Enchante? That’s the hand crafted origami butterfly you see on Guy Kawasaki’s new book Enchanted.
To help promote Guy’s new book, NEENZ and Enchante were going around the island taking pictures of Enchante’s visits. Enchante was even equipped with a GPS to track her whereabouts. From what I heard Enchante even made it to SXSW to enchant even more.
Anyways, here’s me (well, at least my Pele Lava Dunks) with Enchante and a closer up view of the handiwork.
With the first two rounds of March Madness over, here’s the updated breakdown of shoe sponsorships this year. In the field of 64, Nike’s swoosh is on the feet of 51 teams. Adidas’ three stripes are on 12 teams and Under Armour is singly repped by Temple.
Even with a long list of orders at In4mation, it took only a few days for our Aloha for Japan shirts to come in.
Here are some books on my reading list.
