Isn’t Hawaii under a flash flood advisory right now? It’s gorgeous blue skies and sunny outside. The meteorologist must have given a fauxcast.

iTunes Preview, Finally
Finally, a small but much needed change to iTunes. Now you don’t need the iTunes application installed on your Mac or PC to check out what’s available in the iTunes Store. All you need is a web browser thanks to iTunes Preview.

Dancing with the Stars Loses Sensitivity
Dancing with the Stars lost sensitivity this week with the elimination of emotional Aaron Carter. Carter was frequently in tears after his performances, but what can you say other than the boy was passionate about his dances?
The elimination show also reunited Mark Ballas and Sabrina Bryan who was a forerunner in Season 5 until she got pwned. If only she had the eye of the tiger during that season.
I Heart Twilight, Jacob, and Taylor Lautner
…if the Google Analytics stats for Pulpconnection indicate anything. See what I mean?
Of the recent top ten keywords, seven of them relate to Twilight, Jacob, and Taylor Lautner (and his underwear). I’m kinda surprised that Seth Sundberg aka Franco Metcalf made the list.

Dwyane Wade is the Next Michael Jordan
At least in the basketball shoe industry. The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade has been named the Air Apparent to carry on the Air Jordan shoe line. After moving from Converse to Nike then to the Jordan Brand, Wade will debut the Air Jordan 2010 as early as Christmas.
The official release date of the 25th edition of the Air Jordans is February 13, 2010 and will cost $170.

Chris Pirillo Rethinks Twitter for Conversations
I guess I wasn’t the only one rethinking things after attending [re]think Hawaii. At the event, Chris Pirillo and Coach Deb had a conversation about conversing on Twitter. Coach Deb felt Twitter was a great tool for conversations while Chris disagreed.
The upshot? This video of Chris (recorded in his car while driving) explaining why he doesn’t believe Twitter is geared towards conversations.

What’s Rod Rockin’?
Whoa! Will UH forward, Roderick Flemings, be the golden child of the WAC this season? Just what is he rockin’ in this picture in the Honolulu Advertiser?
Last season, the Golden Rod donned rainbow-hued Undercrown special editions. This year he’s got the Adidas Nation TS Commander LT in gold. These are supposedly a limited edition run with only 200 pairs made available on EastBay or to those who played in the under-18 Adidas Nations’ basketball tournament.
Whatever Rod wears, let’s hope they translate to UH wins. Season starts Friday. Go Bows!
[re]think for the Mind, TEDx for the Soul
I don’t know how better to say it than:
[re]think Hawaii is for the mind, TEDxHonolulu is for the soul
Right after [re]think Hawaii came TEDxHonolulu, the 50th state’s first entry into TEDx, the independently organized TED event. NEENZ was at it again, organizing inspirational speakers for our TEDx. I don’t know to capture the essence of the event and the powerful messages of:
The best way to experience TEDxHonolulu is to watch the (forthcoming) videos. Only then will you truly appreciate Intel’s drive for environmental sustainability, Jill’s passion to go green, Henk’s pursuit of high tech in Hawaii, and Kaiser’s cutting analysis of Sino-American relationships online and off. My words won’t do TEDxHonolulu justice.
