Kokua at Windward Mall
Had a good Friday at Windward Mall with two instances of kokua. Thanks to the Starbucks barrista for the ice cold half and half and preshaking my drink.
And thanks (surprisingly) to Champs Sports for letting me get my Bright Cactus even cheaper!
No Burst or Current
Had a chance to try on the Nike Huarache Burst and the Air Max 90 Current over the weekend. Sadly, neither fit well so I had to pass on both of them.
Sticking with the Bright Cactus.
Nominate Your Twitter MILF
No, it’s not what you think! We’re not talking traditional MILF but the remixed Twitter variation, Mothers I’d Like to Follow, aka “Twitter MILF.” In the Urban Dictionary, Twitter MILF is defined thusly:
In the Twitterverse, the Twitter MILF is the modern day woman who can do it all. She can impart her wisdom in less than 140 characters, enthrall with her beauty in a 73 pixel avatar, and raise children! Indeed, she is a Twitter Mother I’d Like to Follow…
So who would you nominate as a Twitter Mother I’d Like to Follow?
Barbie Turns 50 and Still Loves Cake
The iconic Barbie is 50 years old, but she still has style and a taste for cakes.
Sparkly! Awesome cake designed and created by Sweet Couture Bakery.
Khloe Kardashian Anti-Valentine’s Cake
Check out this custom made cake for Khloe Kardashian’s Anti-Valentine’s party at the Tao Nightclub in the Venetian Hotel in Vegas. Scary nice!
I sense some local kine stylin’s for this cake.
Love iTunes But Amazon Is My Mistress
While I love all that the iTunes Store has to offer, I have a secret. I’ve been cheating on iTunes with my mistress also known as the Amazon MP3 Store. Yes, Amazon is my dirty little ho. I can find similar offerings on both iTunes and Amazon, but sometimes Amazon offers up a deal too good to resist.
For example, take U2’s latest CD, No Line on the Horizon. iTunes has the deluxe version that includes bonuses for $17.99. Today, Amazon has a special offer on the regular version of the CD going for $3.99. How can you not give Amazon some lovin’ with deals like these? And I don’t really care about MP3 versus AAC formats.
So I’ll typically shop iTunes first, but I can’t deny that lusty Amazon anymore.
Woz Is So Going Down on DWTS
Yikes! Cnet has this exclusive video of Steve Wozniak practicing his dance routine for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
He’s not going to go very far in the competition…
New Respect for Skittles
While I still won’t eat those pure sugar pills known as Skittles, I have a new found respect for Skittles’ recent online advertising. Skittles (temporarily) dumped their web site and instead is showing a live Twitter search of tweets containing the word “skittles.”
So whatever you tweet about Skittles, it’ll show on their site. Gutsy for sure since there are a lot of worthless tweets showing up, but a very bold move to leave your “site” in the hands of the public.
Hawaii is #2 in Porn Consumption?!
The tiny 50th state is a powerhouse in the consumption of pornography it seems. Hawaii ranks second in the viewing of online porn.
Thanks Wayne! All your efforts have paid off. Or do we thank Club 939? Or maybe it’s due to all the adults Hawaii has in correctional facilities?
Imagine What The Oprah Could Do to Twitter?
If Barbara Walters and the cast of The View can bring down Twitter, imagine the damage The Oprah could do if she promoted the service! If The Oprah were to pick lucky winners for her annual giveaway show from tweets, Twitter would absolutely melt.
Supporting “Perpetuating Our Traditions”
The 57th Cherry Blossom Festival is themed “Perpetuating Our Traditions,” and we are now supporters, buying a shirt and program guide.
We’re rooting for Tanya Masunaga to make the Cherry Blossom court.
