Pepperminty Kicks
Talking about coolness and ice, I saw these kicks the other day, and I had to snap some pics ninja-ishly.
These Nike Air Trainer I Premium Quickstrikes are definitely cool like peppermint.

Inspired by this Abercrombie and Fitch poster, here are a few naughty and nice items I spied while shopping at Ala Moana.

These custom designed shoes are simply ill as in beautiful. Check them all!
You have to see them all!! Are these Photoshop creations? Ah, who cares!
Want to be or ball like President Barack Obama? Then you need to don the Nike Air Max Elite II TB while on the hardwood.
Okay, really there’s no Kicks Wednesday, but there’s been some interesting shoe-related tidbits floating around. First up, Twitter and Facebook inspired kicks.
I prefer the design elements of the Twitter sneaker but that sky blue color scheme is harder to match. But really, I’m partial to these Civil Beat-inspired Nike Air Max 95s. 😉
This Christmas will Jolly Old Saint Nick be delivering these Air Jordan XI Cool Greys to good girls and boys, or will he be rocking them on his sleigh ride? Drops December 23.
And yes, for the UH Basketball fans, Carl English dominated in these.
In a galaxy far, far away, when Boba Fett is done hunting for bounty, he kicks off his armored boots and slips into something more functional and fashionable. Just like these Adidas Originals ZX 800.
I thought the plastic blister packaging was over the top but it’s supposed to mimic the packaging for Star Wars action figures from back in the day.
Just one more dark variation of Civil Beat inspired kicks, and this time testing out NikeID’s embed code.

This is the generated wallpaper version.
Have you seen the redesign of the Civil Beat web site? It’s cleaner and has more visual elements that pop.
So how would this new design translate to Nike kicks? Well, it might look like these (iconic) Air Max 95s.
The “light” colorway.
The “dark” colorway.
I’d rock either of these (in a size 10)! And yes, the custom embroidered text is #becivil.
Not sure what to think about the Nike Air Max Modular 95 hybrid. At first glance, it looks plain but then a clean, classic look starts emerging. That back/heel view is killer though, and the colorway is, of course, great.
It’s a sad day when you have to retire your kicks from your wardrobe rotation. Even sadder is the day when you have to get rid of unwearable kicks. Such was earlier this week when I said good bye to some favorites.
What do you see? Yes, those are the Air Jordan XIII, And1 Tai Chi, Air Max Penny IV, Tuned Air running shoes, and a pair of B&W Air Max Uptempo buried under the rest. And here’s a closeup of another favorite, the Nike 6453, that’s completely falling apart on the underside.
A sad day indeed.
