Cool Micro Documentaries
Did you watch Civil Beat’s first birthday video? This wonderful, informative, and stylish documentary was created by Micro Documentaries. Check out their portfolio for some very, very nice work.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but they did the ReThink Hawaii video a few years back.
I don’t know about costs, but definitely a service to keep in mind if you need a short video that makes a big impact.
Lowe’s Has Stylin’ Water Fountains
The new Lowe’s location at Iwilei just opened for business and features some stylin’ water fountains decked out with their logo.
Happy Birthday Civil Beat
Today, Hawaii’s own Civil Beat celebrates its first birthday. Can’t believe it’s been a year already. One year is just a speck of time and yet, it feels like Civil Beat has been making an impact for much longer. Thanks for the investigative reporting and congratulations on the milestone.
Here’s CB’s video commemorating their first year.

My Blogging’s Like Tweeting
Sadness, looking at recent blog posts, they seem more like Twitter tweets rather than full blog posts. Short text accompanied by a image. Yep, not quality stuff by any means. Time’s been short devoting my focus to things like KraftMaid, learning about counter tops, flooring, and much more. Here’s a pic visiting Bella Pietra.

And who knew pictures of natural granite make for great computer and iPhone desktop backgrounds?
Now Net Metering
Finally entered into our Net Metering Agreement with HECO to complete our overall photovoltaic system installation. While RevoluSun installed the system a while back, and it’s been working great, the Net Metering Agreement wraps up everything. Yes, typically the Net Metering Agreement kicks in after the system inspection, and as a result, we have a new electricity meter.
While this new meter can more accurately measure the amount of electricity consumed, generated, and returned to the power grid, it’s not as fun to watch as the old analog meter spinning backwards.
Surviving the Power Outage on May 2
With major power outages island wide, we experienced a modest outage lasting about two hours from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. How’d we survive dinner time with out electricity? Like this.
