Breaking up Bill and Jerry
Is it really over already? Many sites are saying that the Microsoft ads featuring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld have been cancelled.
Not understanding the point of these commercials is the widely accepted reason for the cancellation. I was confused by the first ad at the shoe store. The second one was fun but still aimless.
I did like Bill’s dancing moves though. I was hoping to see him do the Sprinkler move in future commercials. I guess not…

Iolani Classic Kicks
As in Iolani Classic, not classic kicks. The Iolani Classic high school basketball tournament is turning 25 years old(!), and sponsor Nike is helping the milestone with the release of customized Air Force 25 kicks. These limited edition sneaks will be given to participating Classic coaches and those supporting the tournament over the years.
Ummm, yeah… not classic kicks and why orange? Oh well, still cool to have customized kicks.
The Comeback of Britney
Britney Spears’ road back to the top is making progress. She’s donating to charity and has just announced her latest music release on December 2. Yes, Circus is coming out the same day the Pop Princess turns 27.
At 27 years old, I can’t say that I was on top of the world, then on the bottom, then heading back towards the summit.

Who Needs the iTunes Genius?
Before the newest iTunes 8 included its Genius feature, my music suggestions came from a variety of “geniuses.” From Hypebeast, I learned about Kanye West’s Love Lockdown. From a Kicks Hawaii newsletter, I was introduced to Lupe Fiasco’s Blackout. From the Magnetosphere visualizer demo, I learned about Tosca’s Suzuki.
Lastly, from a water aerobics class for senior citizens, I used Shazam to identify Dave Matthews’ Two Step. Who needs a music genius for recommendations? 😉
Facebook Frenzy
My activity on Facebook’s been picking up recently with the addition of a bunch of classmates. Seems like more and more of us are popping up on Facebook, the old fart’s MySpace.
Been catching up with the lives of classmates by snooping around their FB profiles. Interesting, fun, but time consuming. I need to chillax a bit on adding more FB friends.
Good thing Facebook is blocked at work… um, sorta…
A Twilight-ish Weekend
Been reading/listening to the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer a little too much, and it’s imagery is getting stuck in my head. Did you notice the bad weather this weekend? The rain, the gloom, the dark skies? Sounds like Forks, Washington to me.
And today (or is it tomorrow, but today in China?) is the Moon Festival with a full moon out. Book 2, New Moon anyone?

Own Britney Spears!
