Fishing at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden
Our first time fishing at the Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden. It’s catch-and-release fishing where you use barbless hooks. Fish are aplenty (and so are the mosquitoes), but you need to hike about 20 minutes to the fishing lake. Fun for kids and adults.
Happy New Year 2011
How about ending 2010 and welcoming 2011 with fireworks recorded bokeh-style?
Wishing you a great year in 2011!
After Christmas Shopping at Ala Moana
After Christmas shopping (aka gift exchanges) at Ala Moana. Some random pictures I took.
This was after eating at Jade Dynasty.
Food and Foliage
What’s a Monday morning of vacation without food and foliage? Went to a family brunch serving pancake, waffles, lil smokies, Portuguese sausage, papaya, rice cake, bacon, and Christollen and Panettone breads. Then after brunch was foliage viewing, and kids pulling weeds “for fun.”
Reviewed Jade Dynasty Restaurant
Curious about the new Jade Dynasty Restaurant in Ala Moana? Long story short, a family of dim sum eaters who typically dine at Legend in Chinatown and Royal Garden in the Ala Moana Hotel enjoyed the food. Overall, we gave it four stars in our Yelp review.
Pictures of some of our dishes.
Where Did Santa’s Reindeer Go?
The spirit of Christmas is thriving as told by these light displays of Kaneohe homes. Each home had its own holiday theme, but surprisingly, I didn’t see Santa’s reindeer. Where did the reindeer go?

Merry Christmas!
