Happy Halloween
Yup, it was a rainy Halloween in Hawaii.

We still went out there for some treats including seeing Kazuo’s pumpkin carving artwork.

While enjoying a Snapple White Tea, Green Apple flavor, I noticed the inside of the cap with “Real Fact” #356
You exhale air at 15 m.p.h.
FYI
For whatever strange reason, I think having a Guitar Hero session at work would be a fun thing. Why, I don’t know, and I’ve never played Guitar Hero I, II, or now III. But it seems like a fun game that anyone can get into.
So commandeer a conference room for an afternoon, ask for employees to bring in their game systems, Guitar Hero games, and guitars, connect to the video projector and have at it. Oh yeah, a small sound system would be needed. Take some pics and maybe some video of nerds jamming to Guns N Roses.
But I’m strange like that…
Even though this work party will never pan out, you can relive the music from Guitar Hero III on iTunes.
To keep up with the hip and happening parenting of the Tabasco Man and Coco Bean, the fam headed out to Aloun Farms to nab a pumpkin or two. Even with its popularity, there was still a bunch of pumpkins as the crowds kept coming.
The white pumpkins are freaky looking.

And yeah, you can’t escape the dust and dirt. If you’re going to use sunscreen, make sure you apply it well in advance of getting to the farm so it soaks in. Putting on sunscreen right before going outside is asking for all that blowing dust and dirt to stick to you. After getting home and cleaning up, my Q-tip for my ear was coated with dirt.
Picked up one big pumpkin for $8 and two little ones for $1. Not bad prices.
So supposedly, Britney Spears’ upcoming new release, Blackout, is pretty good. Filled with dance beats, Blackout is described as:
a sizzling, well-crafted, electro-pop dancefest that should return her to pop’s elite
Blackout releases on October 30. Do I sense a Pulpconnection Prize Pack giveaway?!

Some local software developers got together and came up with WeGoEat.com which recently launched. WeGoEat.com is described as “a directory of all the best restaurants in Hawaii” and while still in its startup stage, there’s some promise.
I think some of the features are not functional yet, but the listing of Hawaii restaurants looks complete.
Hmmm, seems like the site doesn’t work right with Mac OS X Safari. Sometimes the Google Maps don’t show. Works better with Firefox.
For some insight of the software development behind WeGoEat.com, go check out localkinegrinds.com (nope, not that Local Kine Grindz.)
Conversations over on the non-public Easier Said Than Done blog continue. If you’re a member, head on over to catch up with the happenings.
While some were lucky enough to have a date night to go check out The Lion King, my closest exposure to the production was this KHON snippet with Manolo Morales.
Cute kids. Never know when one of them (and their parents) might be coming over to your house. 🙂
Caught a little bit of a Lakers pre-season game against the Clippers and couldn’t identify the Lakers point guard based on appearance. Number 5 looked like Tony Parker with that closely shaved head and stubbly facial hair.
Farmar’s game was improved too showing glimpses of Tony Parker with tough drives to the rim and nifty passes to teammates in the lane.
He still got goofy ears though.

I just found out that a coworker knows the father of Maggie Q, model and recent star of Live Free or Die Hard.
Small world. MidWeek ran a feature on Maggie Q this past summer.
There’s a little bit of activity over at Easier Said Than Done if you’re interested.
As in pooped, as in tired, as in I’m running race where the finish line keeps moving further away and at times in a different direction.
And we haven’t even begun… 🙁
