Justin Bieber’s Next Tattoo?
Maybe not his very next tattoo. Maybe to celebrate his 21st birthday. Maybe when his career is on the wane. But you do have to wonder if one day, the boy wonder will get one of these, ahem, private tattoos (NSFW).

Forget the  Apple and Samsung patent lawsuits about user interfaces and user experiences. The real battle is brewing to keep a respectable look while you’re in the downward dog yoga position. Apparently, that’s what popular Lululemon is really fighting for in its court case against Calvin Klein.
Supposedly at 20 bucks, the Calvin Klein Pant holds everything together just like the $100 Astro Pant, and Lululemon doesn’t like the similar construction of these pants. It’s all about that overlapping fabric in the waistband.
Could Under Armour and Victoria’s Secret be next in the Yoga Pants Wars??
With Apple stock prices running near $700 per share, is it time to sell off some shares and invest in Tesla Motors (TSLA)? The electric car makers still have a ways to go but have just announced two more upcoming models, an SUV and a new sports car.
At around $30 per share, you could hope TSLA performance over the years looks similar to AAPL. So as your neighborhood looks more and more like this, then an electric performance car sounds more and more reasonable.
Are you confused about the status of your iPhone 5 order? I know I am. The phone went on sale last night at 12:01 PDT then sold out in about an hour. If you pre-ordered an iPhone through Apple, you probably got an initial reservation email.
Because transactions with AT&T (my carrier) could not complete, my phone was reserved pending AT&T verification. Once my AT&T standing was confirmed, a second email allowed me to proceed with my order. After specifying iPhone capacity, color, and options such as AppleCare, I checked out to complete the order. Then a third email arrived informing me that my order is being processed. So what does this “processing” status mean? Did I get the phone?
Apparently so if you read Apple’s different states of an order.
From Processing Items, your order then goes straight to Preparing for Shipment, so being at the Processing stage is a good thing signifying your order is indeed confirmed.
I don’t think this look will do well for Justin Bieber’s next tattoo. Though the under-the-breast tattoo might be the latest ink art for the ladies, it’s a different story for the guys.
Please say no, Justin Bieber.
Nike sounded off with thunder, and now, Apple strikes with Lightning. Historically, Nike has offered Thunder and Lightning shoe sets, namely for the Air Jordan 4 in 2006. Oddly, Nike is retro-ing only the black Thunders in the upcoming months. There is no mention of the Lightnings?
Lo and behold, here comes Apple’s special event. The new iPhone/iPod 8-pin connector? It’s named Lightning. And Lightning is available right now since everyone knows lightning comes before thunder.
This Nike thunder and Apple lightning pairing is just too coincidental. How can Apple and Nike not be sharing playbooks? As I ponder this, I must drink some thunder and lightning coffee.
Some of the questions I have regarding the new iPhone 5 with 4G LTE speeds.
If you bought a single share of AAPL stock back in October 1999, your $20 investment can easily afford you a new, maxed out iPhone 5. Heck, for today’s share price of $669, you can get a new iPhone 5, an iPod Touch, and an iPod Nano!
Don’t you love this climb?
Saw one more Scion FR-S in the Kailua area this morning. I saw a black one earlier, but this silver one is relatively new with temporary license plates.

If your current AT&T service plan is almost up, you should see something like this.
Following up Call Me Maybe is Carly Rae Jepsen’s This Kiss. Will this be the next hit favorited by Club 939 deejays?
Sunday, September 9, 2012 marked the end of Starbucks’ 12 Star Dash. Did you finish the dash or did you coffee out along the way? I started with a simple iced coffee on Day 1, August 27. The SBUX treat receipts were still active so I have a couple two-a-days to finish up August.

On a side note, I thought the PSL was completely transformed with the whip. Normally, the drink tastes hallow, if you know what I mean. I like the spices and flavors, but it’s probably the non-fat and no whip combo that eviscerates the drink. Just with the whip alone, there was a whee! factor that I guiltily enjoyed.
Back to the Dash. When all was said and done, I totaled up the cost of participating in the Dash. I missed the transactions for two visits, estimating $4 per visit. The result came out to $57.48 in 13 transactions, which averages out to $4.42 spent per visit. All of that to get $5 in Starbucks credit, an 8% return. Worthwhile? Ehhhh, so so, but nevertheless fun to do. I did set a personal best of Starbucks visits with 24 in August 2012.
Here are some caveats. I didn’t split any purchases into singles to maximize my Starbucks (Gold) Rewards card. On one occasion, I bought some extras like a pumpkin scone and Pumpkin Spice VIA packets (which is selling well).
I’ll leave you with pictures of the $58 of yumminess I enjoyed while dashing.
