There’s that line between genius and absurdity, and I’m not sure which side iFit Live is on. Powered by Google Maps, your iFit Live workout on a treadmill can be mapped to real world locations. So you can pretend that you’re running around a lake, down to the beach, or even running in another city. Is that that much of an attraction? I’m not sure.
Seeing your progress on Google Maps is one thing, but seeing real scenery from your run might make this iFit journey more believable. And the service does offer this feature:
complete with stunning high resolution photography of your location on your connected laptop or smartphone
But then this image comes to mind. No thanks, I don’t want to mount my laptop to my fitness equipment.
Oh, but this is cool! When you specify your route with iFit Live, it:
simulates the terrain and actual distance of the route you’ve drawn. iFit Live automatically controls the speed, incline, or resistance, of your fitness equipment, for a unique workout experience that’s both challenging and exciting.
iFit Live – genius or absurd?
Being influential in social media circles has its benefits. The Wall St. Journal takes a look at social media and influence.
I must admit that I’ve had many fortunate experiences and opportunities afforded by social media, the most recent being a Nike Courtside early adopter. Mike Sumida has his story about the benes he’s received from social media.
And of course, gotta give a shout out to Klout!
Don Quijote Kailua closed its business on Saturday, February 5, and already their signage is no more.
We like the cars, the cars that go boom,
We’re Tigre and Bunny and we like the boom.
Somewhere in the world, the L’Trimm pair are smiling after learning that cars in Hawaii can keep the boom. Bomb the bass and turn up the treble!
This is a fun infographic made by Flowtown, poking fun at our identities during those high school days. Click the image for a bigger view.
Well sorta. We were at Don Quijote Kailua on their last day of business. The local news stations were there too and filmed me in the background of some clips. Here’s the KHON2 broadcast segment.
Look at the 0:37-0:41 second mark. See the guy wearing the black Air Jordan cap? That’s me walking and loading up the van! Can’t see it? I’ll help you out (click on the images for a larger view).
No sooner than I post my Hawaii radio lineup, there’s a shakeup on the airwaves. Gone is 93.1 The Zone and its pop music lineup. From this week, it’s 93.1 Da Pa`ina playing reggae music. Monday I heard Bob Marley, and this morning there was Damian Marley welcoming me to Jamrock.
What’s the deal with the Hawaii radio shakeup?
