I have no idea why but it seems like the Hawaii Borders locations have the nastiest restrooms. They get cleaned and all, but the patrons just abuse these facilities. Ward, Waikele, and Aiea locations all have had serious issues with their restrooms from what I remember. I think the Windward Mall Borders has been okay so far.
Is there any correlation with Borders clientele and abused bathrooms?
With all the November elections and recent coverage of President Obama’s arrival in Hawaii, I couldn’t help but think of politicians when I saw this sizing chart at Baby Gap.

Our first time fishing at the Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden. It’s catch-and-release fishing where you use barbless hooks. Fish are aplenty (and so are the mosquitoes), but you need to hike about 20 minutes to the fishing lake. Fun for kids and adults.
Amazon.com complied its lists of Bestselling Products, Most Wished for Products, and Most Popular Gift Products for 2010. From a quick glance, it looks like there are only two items that are on all three lists – Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether and the WiFi Kindle.
And there are some funny differences in what’s wished for and what’s gifted, like people wish for music from Taylor Swift but are gifted Susan Boyle instead. You want the eBook of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but get George W. Bush. You want an Apple MacBook Pro 13-in but get a Toshiba Satellite 15-in laptop. Women want UGG short boots that range from $100-140 but are given Bearpaw Eva boots

These mini hot air balloons are not controlled and go where the winds take them like on top of your home’s roof. Supposedly these flying flames are safe and will extinguish themselves after a duration or at a certain altitude. I wonder how many people will fire off aerials to shoot down these flying targets? Maybe the $13 each price tag will deter some pyromaniacs.

What’s a Monday morning of vacation without food and foliage? Went to a family brunch serving pancake, waffles, lil smokies, Portuguese sausage, papaya, rice cake, bacon, and Christollen and Panettone breads. Then after brunch was foliage viewing, and kids pulling weeds “for fun.”
Curious about the new Jade Dynasty Restaurant in Ala Moana? Long story short, a family of dim sum eaters who typically dine at Legend in Chinatown and Royal Garden in the Ala Moana Hotel enjoyed the food. Overall, we gave it four stars in our Yelp review.
