Amazon Promotes Explicit Music?
I thought I was seeing double when looking at Amazon’s music recommendations. Rihanna’s latest, Loud, is listed twice, but one is the clean version and the other contains explicit lyrics. Which one is cheaper for customers to buy? Yup, the explicit one. What is the message here?
Beware What Facebook Likes Tell Your Friends
Facebook and its “Like” function has become ubiquitous all over the web. I’ve even added it to posts here. But sometimes, you have to laugh watch out what you “like” in FB and what it tells your FB friends.
Witness this post – the content itself and its display of FB likers.
What is this saying, not once but twice??

Macys Sells Cool USB Drives
I would never have guessed that you could pick up cool USB flash drives at Macys of all places, actually, the high tech vending machines in some of the Macys locations. This is the first time I’ve seen Mimobots and Driver flash drives in real life.
Remembering Rainbows of the Past
Thanks to the Greatest Legal Mind Ever, we had courtside seats for the Rainbow Classic back in the day. We sat on the baseline by the hoops and ragged the awesome opposition. Good times!
Here’s a blurry pic of big man, Tony Maroney.
And is this the Big Nasty, Corliss Williamson, from Arkansas?
Update: Talk about full circle. I only learned that Corliss Williamson is the head coach for Central Arkansas who the Rainbows play tonight. And the year the above pictures were taken was the first year of the Sheriff Center.
Holiday Gift Guide: Griffin Slap
This is very cool and hopefully available before the Holidays. The Slap by Griffin Technologies makes your new iPod Nano into a wristwatch. Available in a rainbow of colors, the Slap silicon shell protects your Nano and adds more value to this lilliputian device.
Holiday Gift Guide: BackBlaze Backups
Consider this gift for yourself. In this day and age of digital content, you absolutely need a backup of your hard drive. You never know when your drive will fail and trust me, it will. A local backup drive is a good start (especially if you’re running Time Machine via Mac OS X) but the next step for your backup plan is off-site, online backups.
I’ve been using BackBlaze, and it’s been going well so far. It literally took months for the initial online backup to complete, but I kinda expected as much moving over 260-GB worth of data. After the initial backup, new files and updates are continuously backed up in no time.
Cost is very reasonable at $95 for a two year plan so that’s like $50 a year for peace of mind that your data is safely stored in times of emergencies.
Give a gift to yourself and sign up for BackBlaze.
