And the news about caffeine and coffee just keeps on coming. Local coffee vendor, Lion Coffee, has three new flavors to sample. These new varieties of their “Imagination” line are meant to invoke childhood memories. The newest additions are Island Grogg, Almond Dobash, and Toasted Marshmallow Cream.
Sounds yummy!

Google just released their Google Browser Sync extension for Firefox that will keep your bookmarks in sync across various computers. Using your Google account, your Firefox favorites/bookmarks are saved then replicated to other installations of Firefox you use with this extension installed. Very handy to keep your bookmarks at home and at work synchronized.
.Mac users have had this feature with Safari for some time now, and it is awesome. Bookmark something at home, sync up, then at work, you’ll see your recently added favorite.

In the June 2006 issue of Men’s Health, there’s a small blurb about the caffeine content of popular drinks. Here are the most caffeinated products in the five categories of energy drink, tea, coffee, diet soda, and regular soda.
For comparison, a regular coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts contains 8.9 mg of caffeine per ounce.
Hmmm, any coincidence that I drink Doubleshots, Diet Coke with Lime, and Mountain Dew the most? Really. I guess my body can tell which drink gives me the most nitrous for the brain.
You’ve seen The Fast and The Furious where tricked out cars zoom by boosted by nitrous oxide systems. Well, coffee could have the same effect on your brain. Previously, it was thought that drinking coffee puts people in a better mood and therefore more agreeable. The latest flavor of the day states that coffee revs up your brain allowing for better mental performance.
Make your brain fast and furious, suck down a latte now!
Need to do some number crunching on-line? How about using fancy formulas to see how your data can transform to 6-6-6 on June 6, 2006? Google is opening up its on-line spreadsheet application boringly called “Spreadsheets.” You can upload regular Excel files then you can invite people to edit the on-line document at the same time. That’s pretty cool – simultaneous editing and collaborating on a document. Too bad work probably wouldn’t allow use of this app since it’s what we need to simplify life.
Take a tour of Spreadsheets.

The season finale of Deal or No Deal featured a possible winning of $5 million. I think the previous high was $3M. Casey was the unlucky contestant who also happened to love Celine Dion and (tries to) sing Celine’s songs. So naturally, Celine Dion was a guest on the show via satellite.
This 90-minute finale lingered on and on, commercial break after commercial break as Casey kept eliminating high values. She wanted to open up one of her cases and host Howie let her and lo and behold, she eliminated her own $5M jackpot. Loser! She finally took a deal worth nearly $200,000, but her suitcase had $750,000. Double loser!!
Some random notes. The resurgence of Howie Mandel is complete. He’s a great host with pretty good lines and comebacks. Glad to see him lose that crazy hair of his. I wonder if the Models plan out statements to say when they’re selected. Some of them should just stand and smile. Don’t take advice from Celine Dion. She can fart and $5M will appear out of nowhere. This amount is chump change for her so of course, she’s going to advise “No Deal!”

Apple kicked off its Back-to-School promotion early this year. If you buy a Mac by September 16, 2006, you can get a free iPod Nano (or $179 credit to a more expensive iPod).
Looks like you can get a free printer with another on-going deal. Sweet!
Get a Mac, get an iPod, get a printer, then buy a Nike+ Sports Kit to help your workout routine. Invigorate your mind, body, and soul with some creative products.
With my hard earned cash from Google AdSense, I got myself a 20-oz Pepsi featuring a new under-the-cap game. Instead of giving away iTunes singles, this new contest is for ringtones for your cell phone. 1 in 3 is a winner, but there’s a twist to the contest. Pepsi got smart and instead of placing winning codes under the caps, every cap now has a code that you need to check on the Internet at Pepsismash.com. In previous contests, you’d either get a winning code or something like “Please try again.”
So what’s the big deal? This new system stops folks from looking under the caps to see if they’re an instant winner.
Bummer!
