Kanye West designed Air Yeezy’s came out with a new colorway today, and like that, they were gone. Kicks Hawaii was fortunate to have 15 pairs of the Yeezy’s, and kick fiends waited in line since Wednesday to cop a pair for $300. No, I wasn’t in line to get one of only 3000 Yeezys made.

Despite the economic recession, this market has been quite successful in the Southern California region. That is young, clothes-challenged women serving up coffee and non-alcoholic slushees to primarily male patrons.
Just think of it, a Mr. Coffee (or even a $11,000 Starbucks Clover system), the same talented employees, and the Club 939 Café is now open for business!
Formaggio Grill in Kailua is hosting an upcoming “Twitter Dinner” where guests can learn about Twitter while dining. This themed meal is on Tuesday, June 2 at 6pm.
If a Twitter dinner isn’t enough, how about a job tweeting? The Murphy-Goode Winery in Sonoma County is searching for a social media maven who can jump start the winery’s Web 2.0 presence. We’re talking Facebook, blogs, Twitter, YouTube, and whatever else you can think of.
This temporary job goes for six months and pays $10,000 per month as you live on the lands of the Murphy-Goode Winery. If this job is to your tasting, interviews will be at Formaggio on June 3rd.

Anyone know if Tats Shave Ice is on Twitter? It’d be cool if the colorful van of cool delights were on Twitter to notify their fans of their whereabouts.
Just yesterday, I saw the van down the street but didn’t get a chance to go. I was hoping they’d be back to day but no luck. Not sure where Tats is today. That could be solved by announcing their location via Twitter like Kogi Korean BBQ-To-Go does.
Here’s the thing: you got to try the awesome hotness of the Himalayan Kitchen in Kaimuki. I don’t think I ever ate Nepali food, but after the Himalayan Kitchen, I want more.
First of all, the place isn’t the easiest to find, especially when the (original) Honolulu Advertiser review gives an incorrect address (see the Kitchen’s web site for the correct address). Still though, its confusing location only adds to the mystique. When you find the hideaway, you’re immediately presented with an eclectic decor.
Let’s get to the food. It’s simply awesome. The spices and flavors are not typical of Hawaii, providing a new palate of enjoyment. Besides the savory flavors, each dish came with some heat. Even the mild ones stoked some flames over time. But oh so good. The Everest Choeela is presently beautifully and is highly recommended even though the heat level is turned up a notch. The lunch special chicken tikka wrap is “insane” as described by our waiter (who was great explaining all the dishes and refilling my ever emptying glass of water).
We shared a bunch of dishes and took home lots of leftovers. The biggest problem with the food for me? The acid reflux all the spiciness induced. You can’t stop sampling all the dishes, and boy did I need some Tums and Zantac after lunch! Hurt so good though.
For something off the beaten path, you gotta try the Himalayan Kitchen (again and again). Just ask @ryankanno. Oh yeah, they are now open for lunch from 11 to 2.

The timing of these articles can’t get much better. Former UH volleyball star, Kim Willoughby tests positive for steroid use and also is in court for an assault case in which she punched a woman several times, breaking a nasal bone and eye socket.
