During a Sugar Low…
After eating some candy and experiencing a sugar high comes the inevitable sugar low. During this low when I needed more sugar to boost up my system, I went and bought this.

So who really needs the Nike+iPod Sports Kit when you got one of these bad boys?
Yeah, that’s right. Why spend $30 on the Sports Kit when you can get this step counter free inside a box of cereal? And check it out, this does colors one better with red, orange, and blue featuring Mickey, Stitch, and some Chicken Little guy. Awesome!
Talk about ease of use. Here’s the directions.
Way simple. No wireless connection between a sensor and receiver needed. No syncing, no web site shenanigans.
So I took my step counter out for a run, and here are my results for three runs following the same course:
Yeah, 4000+ steps per run baby! What stats! How many calories did I burn? I don’t know. How long did I take? I don’t know. How far did I run? To Hamakua and back. What songs did I listen to? Whatever my faltering Shuffle was playing.
So I ask again, who really needs the Nike+iPod Sports Kit?![]()
What a day at work. Unexpected craziness from what I thought was a situation under control. Did I attract this negativity upon myself?
I must exercise the secret and turn my frown upside down! I must think positively and attract only good vibrations. You know what would be a positive experience? If UCLA and North Carolina don’t win this weekend. 🙂
Is personal gain not allowed with the secret? I dunno.
Thanks to the Angry Asian Girls’ Day at Elements Hawaii, I got a treat for the referrals – an Insalata Caprese Salad made by Jamie as part of her Italian dinner.

My first generation iPod Shuffle that I got free for buying a bunch of Dockers pants is giving me more and more problems. First, it would stop playing for no apparent reason. The other day, after doing a sync, only 2 songs were available even though iTunes showed 16 songs.
I tried another sync and iTunes said the media was uninitialized, and there were no songs on the iPod. I then downloaded the iPod shuffle Reset Utility from Apple and gave that a shot. This utility wipes out a Shuffle, returning it to clean state with the latest firmware.
At first, the tool did not recognize my Shuffle. Scary. I waited a few minutes and tried again. This time, it saw my Shuffle and successfully reset it. I transfered songs to my reset Shuffle, and everything seems to be working okay so far.
Any other first gen Shuffle users having issues with their iPods? Is it time for an upgrade?
If you’re having a tough time like me winning a free customized Starbucks tee shirt, you do have the option of bidding for shirts designed for celebrities. Through the Clothes Off Our Back auctions, movie stars are auctioning off their Starbucks shirts for charity.
So if you can’t win a shirt by the end of this month, you can bid $100 for Jessica Biel’s women’s small shirt or $160 for Heroes’ Masi Oka XL. Several Lost actors are also participating in the auction.
Went to eat at the re-opened Farrell’s at Windward Mall, not once, but twice in the recent weeks. The inside is pretty small, and it doesn’t seat that many people. There’s a side room for large parties and a small area where you can buy toys and knickknacks.
The food is your standard fair, but don’t get the teri chicken sandwich. It’s a waste of time with teri sauce covering a regular chicken fillet.
The main reason why you go to Farrell’s is, of course, for the ice cream. A banana split please!
How about a 30-scoop Mauna Kea Fudge Volcano? I think that’s a one-man job for the Tabasco Man.
