Cereal Remix No Longer Mixing
Back in March 2010, Cereal Remix opened their doors in Aiea. Sadly, sometime in November/December 2011, Cereal Remix closed their doors, leaving behind this empty facade.

I was late to this song, made aware of it in 2004 in the Flashback: The Best Holiday Collection? But Henry Kapono’s Merry Christmas to You is on my Holiday playlist, and it should be on yours.
Here’s Henry Kapono performing a live version of this Christmas classic in support of the Marines’ Toys for Tots program.
Yes, we know that stainless steel refrigerators like the LG LFX31925ST/Sears Kenmore Elite Model 72053 do not have magnetic surfaces, so forget that idea of sticking on notes, calendars, and kids’ artwork. But that smooth steely surface can help liven up the Holiday Spirit in your kitchen. How? Just add a handful of Christmas-themed “magnetic stickers.”
Hmmm, I seemed to have forgotten to post these pictures of the annual Kaneohe Christmas Parade. My bad for not sharing the Christmas cheer. The best moments were Mufi Hannemann taking pictures of the parade using his iPad while participating in the parade and the fire dance near the end of the event.
Just doing some reading about the 99 title and 40-GB copy protection on DVDs. Interesting ways to stymie copying of discs.
Okay, okay, not strictly Christmas, and I’m not too familiar with other religious Holiday traditions, but I do enjoy Adam Sandler’s Chanukah Song (Parts 1, 2, and 3). So you won’t be mistaking Adam’s rhyming skills with that of Emimem, but educating listeners about Chanukah he does. And if you had to rhyme “Chanukah,” I bet “playing the harmonica” and the “Seattle Supersonicas” sound pretty darn good.
Take it away Adam…
Thanks to Hawaiian Air for the invitation to the Diamond Head Classic and thanks for all the goodies!
Seriously, I don’t know what this song about other than the hook, “last Christmas, I gave you my heart but the very next day you gave it away.” What else is there to know? George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in their prime.
For a more upbeat tempo of this classic, I like the Jimmy Eat World version.
Though I am a kicks fanatic, I must admit that there have only been a few pairs that were truly love at first sight. The iconic Air Jordan XI was definitely not love at first sight. Â That black patent leather confused me for a long time, and even though I have owned several Air Max 95, I slept on those for years due to all those “layers.”
So what was kicks love at first sight? It was these Air Max Uptempo 95, especially the teal colorway.
When I saw these at Footlocker Phase 2 Pearlridge aka Downtown back in the day, I absolutely had to get them. No hesitation, no ruminating, just pure wanton craving. The image doesn’t do justice to the teal accents, but the black and white colors really set off the teal. For my feet, these weren’t the best balling shoes. All the air cushioning obliterated court feel, but it didn’t matter. They looked great. In fact, even with the imperfect fit, I owned two more colorways over the years, an all black version and a black and white version without accent color. As additional colorways have been produced over the years, I usually stop, pickup the Uptempo, and admire the design.
So what are some of your favorite Christmas songs? These are the songs you have to hear to get into the Holiday spirit. Here’s one of my favs, The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by David Bowie and Bing Crosby. This unlikely duo create pure magic.
So a single wasn’t enough to give away. Get Lupe Fiasco’s mixtape, Friend of the People, for free as well.
