Holiday Gift Guide: Flawed Angels Shirts
Oh, those angels from Victoria’s Secrets. They are not infallible, nor are they sports fans of the Big 10 conference. If finding the elusive APEC aloha shirts is too tough, you might want to search for this mistake.
See this Michigan State Spartans-themed shirt produced by Victoria’s Secrets? Color’s right, emblem’s correct, but the motto “Hail to the Victors,” well that ain’t right. That saying belongs to rival University of Michigan Wolverines.
I guess angels can make mistakes.
“D’you know that the human head weighs 8 pounds?”
Remember that line from the movie Jerry Maguire? Remember that adorable kid who stated that line? Yup, that would be Jonathan Lipnicki, but he ain’t 5 years old any more.
What’s a Photo Consent Form?
So you take professional pictures at a portrait studio, and you want to use one of these shots for a Christmas card. Can you design a card using one of these pictures and mass produce them at Costco?
Supposedly yes, if you get the release and photo consent forms from the portrait studio (by purchasing the portrait). But what does a typical consent form look like? I don’t think it’s an .ini file on a burned CD that contains the image. But that’s what we’re being told is the consent form. I’m no Microsoft Windows expert, but don’t .ini files contain configuration settings for apps? Using a text editor, the .ini file looks like a typical “innie” file with a bunch of parameters and their values.
I’ll see what happens when I take a print out of this .ini file (as instructed by the portrait studio) to Costco to authorize the release of our Christmas cards. Maybe Costco won’t even check? I’m not sure how this works, but I’ll find out soon enough.
Holiday Gift Guide: APEC Aloha Shirts
What do you get that Hawaii businessman who only wears “Aloha crisp” attire? This Holiday season, you need to find one of these rare (and unworn) Tori Richard aloha shirts. Only 21 of these were hand made, specifically given to the 21 heads of state who attended APEC 2011.
The shirt design features elements unique to Hawaii like the hibiscus, honu, and a tapa pattern, and President Barack Obama’s signature adorns the shirt’s tag.
Designer Tori Richard, Ltd has stated that they will not be making this shirt available for sale, guaranteeing the specialness of this aloha shirt.
Sam’s Club New Old Gas Pumps
The Sam’s Club Gas Station in Pearl City had some work done over the past month with gas pumps changed out for these new ones.
But if you look closely, the facades of the gas pumps are new, but the hoses and actual dispensers look like the former ones. Still good I guess. No matter since this gas station is the best one to go to. No lines, fast pumps, affordable prices, and a Starbucks across the way.
The Sexy Sax Man Makes an Office Call
The Sexy Sax Man is still going at it, ensuring Wham’s Careless Whisper is forever emblazoned on your mind.
Here he visits the offices of Rackspace. Be sure to listen in to his expanded musical repertoire and watch as he even shares the sax.
And you thought this guy had no future?
Popular on Hipster!
Have you tried out Hipster.com and its accompanying iPhone app? If so, you might have seen today’s popular list that looked like this.

Hold up! What’s that chicken there? Why, it’s none other than a gravy boat I found at the neighborhood Price Busters!

Not only did this novelty make it to the popular page, but it’s been viewed over 1000 times by fellow Hipsters.
I Don’t See It

No matter what happens with the upcoming paternity test, I still feel violated.
