Who Broke the CSS?
Hey, who broke the CSS styling of Pulpconnection? Duh, must’ve been me, and um, I don’t know how or when I did that. More importantly, how do I fix it?! 🙁

To combat “showrooming,” Target is committing to match Amazon prices during the Holiday buying season. So instead of visiting Target to check out a product then ordering it (for less) from Amazon, Target wants you to give into immediate gratification by offering you the same price.
Price matching runs from November until Christmas.
The developers at WordPress.com have been busy updating their multi-purpose Jetpack plugin with all kinds of neato stuff. Versions 1.8 and 1.9 came and went, and no sooner version 2.0 is out. This version is loaded.
Publicize, post by email, infinite scroll, and the Photon CDN headline the 2.0 feature set. There are some cautions though. Infinite scroll needs a compatible theme, and I need to look into Photon a bit more to understand its ramifications.
Overall though some solid features.
Looks like the latest versions of Disqus and the Thesis 2 theme have amended any previous disagreements. Before this, a Disqus comment box would be floating at the top of each post so I had to disable this favorite plugin.
But now, it appears the friendship has been restored and Disqus comments are appearing where comments usually appear. Thanks goodness since I was getting bombarded with a ton of comment spam.
Halloween is over, and November is here so you know what that means right? Black Friday? Well yeah, but really it means that Christmas is nearby! Here are signs out in the stores that signify Christmas is coming.
You have to love Civil Beat’s display of the 2012 poll results. So clean and simple with a clear view of the information.
The coverage of the Star Advertiser isn’t bad but relies on a slider to navigate between the various results.
At least the Star Advertiser removed that obnoxious advertisement they had in 2010.
With Amazon offering a monthly subscription to their Prime service, I’m temporarily dropping Netflix to test out the Prime waters. Although Hawaii doesn’t enjoy the free two-day shipping, Prime members do get free standard shipping which is still one up on the free Super Saver shipping. Now I don’t have to look for $25 worth of goods to buy in order to qualify for Super Saver shipping. And with the Holiday crunch, the few days saved via Standard shipping should help get gifts here on time.
At about $8 a month, it’s not a big deal to try out the Prime service for two months. I’m interested in seeing the performance of their streaming video service. Looks like there are some good movies available while my Netflix DVD queue only has old movies and television series, so canceling Netflix isn’t a huge loss.
I still have to read up on the Kindle book rental service. Does it work with Kindle apps on iPhones and iPads? I don’t have an actual Kindle device (nor will I get one).
So bottomline, I’m banking on taking advantage of the free (and faster) shipping for two months to make the subscription cost worthwhile.
Yep, if you don’t already know but Crazy Shirts has more than just shirts. Oh, I do love their shirts (designs and dyes), but they have great shorts as well. Check out these Surf Fin Eco HydroPrint Board Shorts.
Fashionable even when you’re not at the beach and even cooler, the shorts’ design patterns changes when wet. A great gift for an active Dad.
And to be on the up and up, I’m now an affiliate for Crazy Shirts, but I wouldn’t be if I weren’t a fan. 🙂
Air New Zealand welcomes you to take a flight to Middle Earth, but first you must watch the all important flight safety video.
While I’m pleased with my Belkin Grip Candy Sheer case in gravel/reflection (i.e. teal and black), I think the black/green color combo is a better look, especially on a black iPhone 5.
Oh yeah, Best Buy now carries the black/green Belkin case if you’re looking to buy.
Update 11/28/2012: Here’s one more image of the case still in its box.
